*Smiles* I never realised how many hugs I used to get a day until I lost my husband. Now I give them and take them wherever I can.

And yes, we do often blind ourselves to things we don't want to face, but it does mean we often miss some of the brilliant things that are waiting for us too.

Thanks he was a good man, I have very many happy memories, you could say he can still make me smile and it wouldn't be far from the truth.

LOL...I spent most of my career working with teens...God Bless Moms (and Dads)...oh my...rolly coaster sometimes! I was a psychotherapist for depressed and suicidal teens...sound fun? OH my........none died under my watch thank god....lol. Phew...glad to be done with it though. Many sleepless nights!

Amazing...no hon...YOU are. I had 'em for an hour or two a week...lol. You had them everyday all day. I was glad though...that's all the duty I had. I loved the parents...oh my...so vulnerable mostly...and working so hard. I said: HANG ON

But in the end she brought him over...to the next realm..OH GOD...Wise child and kind...she knew he never meant to burn her....no matter how painful it was then.

Another story that affected me so very much....

I watched a special on tv...about elephants...who are the kindest and most wonderful species....

However, this one...showed a baby elephant trying to find a clan...trying so hard...and elephants are always open to welcome young ones...usually.

But in this case, perhaps the baby was sick and a threat to the herd...I don't know.

The Matriarch was not willing to let this child in. Terrible things she did to rid the herd of this child. OH my...not elephant like at all...she kicked and tossed this baby about...without mercy. I cried for days after witnessing it. I couldn't grasp it...how could this happen?

This is how I feel about our world...we kick and stamp on ones who are just looking for a place...a niche...some comfort....

I don't like it here.
