Granted, he's an evil scumbag. But no one had a greater impact on this year than Osama bin Laden.
But it's nice to see nobody's going to cancel their subscriptions.

Congratulations, Rudy.
You truly had a heroic year.
But you backed into this one.

Who knows maybe Mr. Being Laiden would buy the lot ... :D

Personally i would have liked to have seen another person get it. I love Rudy. But to me the fellow that was on the plane that crashed in pennsylvania that said "lets role" his wife and the phone operator are my people of the year. They had an intense impact on me and though others are more powerful, evil, and omnipresent in the news those people represented the pain we all felt that day. Its the pain we won't forget. Who remembers Tojo. We all have an idea of pearl harbor though. I guess its silly to want the little people recognised but to me they are the closest to us.

I agree! With their one act of heroism, they changed aviation as we know it for all time. Passengers will never again sit still and let their lives be controlled by a terrorist in the air. The flight from Paris to Miami yesterday where the passengers stopped the guy who had the bomb in his shoe is a perfect example. The new attitude is "we're all in this together so don't fuck with us."
