People trying to access Microsoft's MSN.com with a non-Microsoft browser are finding themselves locked out.

Although the software leviathan's Internet Explorer easily reaches MSN, other browsers--such as Opera, Mozilla and some versions of Netscape--run into trouble.

This seems to be typical behavior from Microsoft. For example, most of the msn communities adult web sites are unreachable with Netscape. I and others have complained to them frequently, but nothing has been done about it. I wonder what it will take to get them to stop being so exclusionary?

Don't worry, the new page SERIOUSLY SUCKS. So you aren't missing much by not going back there.

you can customize yahoo to http://my.yahoo.com and set it up ewith exatcly what stocks, what nes, where when and a whole tone of featuers

What NES. They give you an old nintendo? Cool sign me up.
And Tones of features? They give ya music as well? Even better.

My yahoo is not bad. I try to check mine twice a day. I wish there were something a little better though.

I'm using Netscape 6.1 for a browser and it permits youi to set up your own portfolio. You need to set up a Netscale AOL IM account or a Netscape e-mail account but with that you can create your own tailored home page with news, weather, portfolio, etc., displayed for you.

The portfolio manager even allows you to enter the price you paid for your stocks, the number of shares, the date of purchase and keeps a current total of your gains/losses as well as the latest gain/loss per stock.

But none of them give me what I really want. Truly local weather, a customized list of new book releases, same with new music. A very eclectic selection of news interests, and so many other things that I'm not sure yet what I want. :)

The search is never over.
