I plan to watch, mostly because there is a lady from my town on it this season. I've only recently gotten "in" to Survivor, so I'm excited.

Does anyone know if survivor pops up on youtube or anything after it has aired?

I'm going to have to, unfortunately, miss the first episode.

Are they gonna dope up a baby wild bore again this year and have someone chase the poor thing down to kill it?

Ill never watch that show again in my life.

sorry to hear that......do you have TiVo? or have a VCR? I'm not
sure if it will be YouTube but you can check the CBS.com website
to see if they're going to show the episodes after they've aired.

Love your AV.....I'm having a V-Day event in my town early next month!

you can probably catch it on the cbs site; I believe that they're one of the stations that airs episodes for free online.

Did the steal The Apprentice's shtick where one team sleeps in tents and the other one in the mansion?

I don't know about that, but I respect your opinion though.

I am curious as to how much of the set up last night was improvised. As you may have read, one cast member had a panic attack at the last minute and bailed out, leaving them with an odd number of survivors. The whole thing with Sandra or Sheila or whatever her name was picking the tribes and then going off to exile island may have been made up on the spot.

They dodged a bullet without even realizing it last night. I think Jessica and Rocky were poised to become the next Rob and Amber.

Looking them over it's almost as diverse as last year.

I enjoyed that they let them ALL get to know one another, a few days before splitting them up. They had to work somewhat co-operatively for a few days. Watching them try to sleep in a big pile was amusing to me as well.

It's always funny to see some people acting up in ways that will get their asses voted out quickly. Hello, what game are you playing? *L*

I think it's going to be a good season.

that was something last Thursday nite w/ her picking the tribes then
being sent immediately to Exile Island w/ the SNAKES!

Heheheheehehe it wouldn't surprise me if Jessica and Rocky would have
become "Rob & Amber Part II" :D But alas, Jessica got booted.

Can't wait for tonite's show!

Oh yeah.....definitely diverse, and it was cool to see everyone being "one big happy family for the first couple days working together and all, and then the big splitting of the tribes afterwards!

It's going to be a fun season I think!

I noticed that as well, Mark Burnett created both shows so I'm guessing he borrows from both shows as well, talk about a lack of creativity. I like it on Survivor, but I hate it on The Apprentice.

You are right about that, it makes me curious too.

One of the things I can't relate to is trying out for the show, making it and then quitting. To me that is just strange as hell.

I didn't much like Rob and Amber. I'd rather not see a repeat of them. The funny thing is that I could like Amber if she wasn't with Rob but together blech!

I'm sort of pissed they are in the all star version of The Amazing Race. I was through with them after the first season of Survivor they were on. They keep popping up again and again.

I don't mind it on The Apprentice. During those You Can Win things when Donald or Ivanka asks who I want to see in tent city I always tell them I want to see them there but do they listen? Nope. It's a pretty stupid promo since what they really mean is who do you want to see leave.

Both shows are produced by Burnett but camping out in the yard of a mansion with every camping convenience known to man, is quite a bit different from the way Survivor is doing it.

I've never seen The Apprentice but I've been watching Survivor since the first episode. Never thought that the ones that followed ever lived up to the first.

The first episode was raw with people just figuring it out on their own... The bugs, the starving, all of it wasn't as contrived as the others with their bleached teeth and fake boobs, etc.

But this season is really looking up. I liked the whole unity thing before going into tribes as well as the mansion vs slum deal...

You're right. None of them have come close to the first one. The uncertainty and they were real people. Everybody since has been an actor/actress wannabe. I think the show would be greatly improved if they looked for contestants that have never watched the show. Or who don't know they're going to be on Survivor.

That's exactly what I was trying to say! :) Now they all know what to anticipate... They're going to have to choke down a bug, do a puzzle, create an alliance, etc.

And none of them seem too worried about food either...

It seems more scripted now. That's for sure.
