It's almost pointless to go out to eat anymore

Even a place you've had success at in the past is still about 50/50 for having a crappy experience. If you didn't learn how to cook during COVID, you were doing it wrong. It must be Trump's fault. :)

I love pretending I'm Uma Thurman in the Truth about Cats and Dogs so when I go out to eat I only order an appetizer and then stare lovingly at dessert.

Back when we went into our first lockdown I did the exact opposite of everyone else~instead of using all that free money thrown at us to make us look the other way while we were being replaced and using it for lots of unhealthy food delivery options I banked everything and started a strict diet~something I still maintain five years later.

I ate out twice yesterday. It was 50/50. Maybe your standards are lower.
Lol

Two times in one day! How bourgeois!

No idea....haven't needed to tell a political forum about my overall experience after two times eating out.

I've been a server. Not difficult to think that. You literally just made a thread about others' deficiency in pleasing you.
Servers are grossly underpaid. People just don't get it or retail. I work these days in warehouses and these guys do not get that most people don't get to show up to work basically dressed however they want. MAybe you need Steel Toes and there if a 50/50 chance the ladies will need pants, no skirts or dresses but that shouldn't be a huge deal. They don't get that "Hey fuck face" is not appropriate behavior at work and most of us have to clock in and out when the schedule says. The only time I've seen a warehouse actually enforce the clock in and clock out time was when the company didn't want to pay overtime. Then they got absurdly strict. Like "You clock in at 7:55 your ass best clock out at 3:55 not 4:00.

I've been a server for a few months and that was hell. At least when I worked Walmart I could hide if I didn't feel like dealing with people. "Sure I'll help unload the trucks just keep me off the register!" Sure I'll go water the plants. Its 110 degrees you need someone to gather the carts?! ON IT!

Maybe I like variety. Lol. :)

The one place I talked about in the Cracker Barrel thread. The other was a road house. Been to both many times.
And so you had one poor experience out of two, in one day, to places you've been to many times before, and this made you need to post about a decline in service that you feel this demonstrates.

I'm a food snob. If you ever want to risk being shot, stabbed, mugged, shit on or set on fire and find yourself in Manhattan I can give you some recommendations.

Most restaurants have been struggling ever since COVID. For me, yesterday was an anomaly. People. Food costs. Maybe things are better in Shangri-La where you live. :)
