It's all very well for Bush to say...

“I am disappointed in Yasser Arafat. He must make a full effort to rout out terror in the Middle East.”

It's a pity he can't bring himself to say that he's "disappointed" in Israel assassinating key witnesses to the war criminal charges against Sharon for his part in the Beirut massacre.

With Bush it's still a case of Israel "Gooood" everyone else "Baaaad".

Seriously, what is wrong with that stance? Why shouldn't we support Israel? We need them more than we need the PLO.

Someone has to support Israel, or there won't be an Israel.

Yeah p_p_, have more sympathy

Without Britan's Neville Chaimberlain and your weak-ass stance on terrorism, 6 million of the little fawkers wouldn't have gone to the ovens...

You guys and the French continually crack me up!

Your sensitivity is astounding!

Because Israel is the key.

In a scenario where no Israel existed, there would not be the anti-American feeling running throught the Islamic world that there is. Well, not over Israel anyway.

No matter how long and how loud your President tells you the reason for the terrorist attacks in September was because of America's place in the world, I cannot see many of you really believing that.

You're not blind, nor deaf. You know the score as well as the rest of us.

If America started switching her allegiance from Israel to Arab, that would go a long way to really winning the "war" on terrorism.

But that leads us to the other question as to whether Bush really wants to win it. Probably not right away. Maybe after he's dealt with the family business.

What did he say last night? Oh yes...Iraq, Iran and North Korea. Nothing like putting them on their guard George!

:p

Well, since this IS a forum for speaking your mind, let me just say that after only being around here for around a week or so, I'm already sick and tired of all your anti-Bush/anti-Israel crap.... Whoever sides with/protects Israel in the "END", will be the real winner...

And that's all I've got to say about that.... I will steer clear of these garbage threads from now on...

Ohhhhh, I knew I shouldn't have read this thread...

Ohhhhh, yes there would. And you know it--you said so right there. Hit it right on the nosey.

They would find a way to hinge their hatred on us, or someone else that we support. You're the one kidding yourself, darlin'.

Now is that a paranoid statement, or is that a paranoid statement?

:p

At first sight it does look paranoid but then think again about statements made by various extremists after the events of September 11th.

Its not just the Israeli thing, they just don't believe in any Western standards or ideals. Israel is an excuse for them, if it wasn't there they would find something else to vent their fundamentalist spleen on.

No not paranoid......... realistic.

'Tis so paranoia.

America's always suffered from it. It comes from trying to please everybody and ending up pleasing nobody!

And then wondering why, after you've worked so hard at making friends, you end up with none at all...

It might be something to do with the way you go about it. If, just for once, you didn't ram down everyone's throats just how great you are, you might find other countries may warm to you a bit more.

:)

I have no intention of becoming involved in a slanging match this evening. There's been enough of that on the board during the last twentyfour hours.

I was not referring to historical events when the USA may or may not have been paranoid. I was referring to the current situation and I stand by what I said, that at this present time the extremists would find another reason to attack the West.

People wake up! If what p_p_man says annoys you, think of yourself, think of the stress related stomach ulcers and heart attacks you will be avoiding by ignoring him.

America loves free speech and its great to have this right, its also great to be able to ignore people when all they do is say things to get attention.

Stress. What stress? If I let p_p_man's threads and posts give me stress, I wouldn't be here.

I'll leave him to tell you why he does it, but I enjoy the cut and thrust, the silly little barbs, the jibes, the righteous indignation in response to his threads. Its fun for goodness sake.

There's no stress here for me, this is relaxation for me!

You have looked deep into my soul and seen my psyche!

:D

Hey, y'all....

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they're not out to get me.

Egad! You've summed up my life in a mere 2 paragraphs!

It might be something to do with the way you go about it. If, just for once, you didn't ram down everyone's throats just how great you are, you might find other countries may warm to you a bit more.

Again, the resemblance to my own life is, well, just astonishin'!

You know, I consider myself to be happy and content with my life in general. Yes, I've got my faults and my bad days/weeks, but overall, I have more good days than bad, so I consider myself quite lucky.

*sniff, sniff, bottom lip trembling*

If I, like your perception of America, am overly friendly, or am gushing with unsolicited advice or help...

Well, excuuuuuuuuuuse me!

*dabbing eyes with lace hanky*

I'm just tryin' to help.
