do you know any useless trivia? help expand the minds of others... post it here.

- the average office chair on wheels travels eight miles each year.

- both dark and light raisins are made from GREEN thompson seedless grapes. the black/purple ones are dried in the sun so they get a tan... the green raisins are dried in a hot room so they don't change color.

The human dentition pattern consists of the following (divided into "quarters" of the mouth): 2 incisors, 1 canine, 2 pre-molars and 3 molars.

(Actually, I know tons of random facts, but I never remember them until its triggered in a convo...I'm also good at making up facts and having them sound like they're real. :) But, yeah, anyway, if I think of anything else, I'll post it.)

The are six fictional characters that have stars on Hollywood's "Walk of Fame."

in other words, more rounded hairs (think spaghetti) are straighter than oval shaped hairs (think linguine) which tend to be curly.

"Most of us are just about as happy as we make up our minds to be." Is a quote by William Adams usually attributed Lincoln, who may well have said it, tho Adams said it first.

The term "soap opera" came about because before television, radio shows were often referred to as operas. Corporations figured out that the audience for their daytime dramas were mostly housewives and decided to advertise clothes-washing and dish-washing soaps during those programs. Hence the name "soap opera."

Mona Lisa has no eyebrows in Leonardo da Vinci's painting. During that time, a woman was considered more beautiful if she shaved her eyebrows.

The "Black Talon" cop killer rounds of ammunition are named after the above eagle fact and that they were even more powerful and could go in through bodyarmour through a body and out through bodyarmour.

Ex cathedra has only been exercised twice in the history of the Church. Pope Pius IX used it when defining the dogma of Mary's Immaculate Conception and Pius XII used it when defining the Mary's Assumption.

watermelons aren't red until you cut them.

this isn't really all that fascinating and applies to anything concealed from light... since light "causes" color. sounds interesting though.
