AAAAAARGHGHGHGHGHGHGHG.

Two hours before I can go to bed and the gawddamn tegretol is making me sleepy.

Well, they're oatmeal cookies with cinnamon chips. Nummie.

*sighs* The baker in me is just entirely too persistent.

Next thing you know, I'll be whipping up a cheesecake. If I had cream cheese, I would.

now I've got a decision to make tomorrow, do I make Chocolate Chip? or Macadamia Nut cookies? Great, now I'm gonna be awake ALL night wondering if I can make the right decision. :D

ha ha ha, and I suppose you have to come over to help me taste test them eh? Well, be my guest! :)

I may even get really crazy, and make some half and halfs', CC and MN. Now THOSE could be good.

LMAO.. I have to tell you a funny story

In jr high school.. me and two of my best friends (had been friends since we were 5) decided we weren't tired, and we were going to make cookies. Mom and Dads bedroom is right off the kitchen and it being 3 am, we didn't want to wake them.

so... what did we do? we scoured the kitchen cupboards looking for SOMETHING.. ANYTHING that we could make into cookie dough. It turned out we had everything to make peanut butter cookies. So here we are.. 3 teenage girls with 1 flashlite, a cookbook and hush voices making these stupid cookies. After mixing all the stuff carefully in the bowl that we made enough noise(to wake the dead) getting it out of the cupboard. The thought occured to us. If we bake them, the smell will wake my parents. Now don't get me wrong.. we weren't sneaking. It was ok to make cookies. But my father worked early morning, up at 5 to get to work. I didn't want to wake him to early. I was being respectful. :D

Ok.. dilema here.. what do you do with peanut butter cookie mix you can't bake?? well.. solution.. EAT IT!.. oh boy.. wrong.. sick for 2 days..

Needless to say.. i no longer make or eat peanut butter cookies..

Freakygurl inspired me.;)

I could never match Martha Stewart.

Here's why...

It was a hot summer day back when I was about 13. I'd gotten bored around the house, and in an effort to assert my grown-up ways, I begged and pleaded to bake a batch of cookies. After several hours of persistent whining, Mom finally gave in. I promised to clean up all the mess, and to follow the recipe carefully, and she let me get to work.

I painstakingly measured out just the right amount of each ingredient. I double-checked and even triple-checked the recipe to make sure that I didn't accidently forget to add anything. I carefully made sure to keep everything tidy. I spent several hours mixing all of the ingredients together...cautiously measuring out an exact teaspoon of this, or 3/4 a cup of that. Then came the tricky part. Time for the beater. Heck, I was a fabulous cook. No need to ask for help. I just decided to stick the bowl in the sink to beat it like Mom used to. That way, if it splashed a bit, no big deal. It'd save on the cleaning time. I carefully lifted the heavy bowl into the sink, and proceeded to beat the mixture until it was perfectly blended. I shut off the beater. Carefully unpluged it. Pulled the beaters off, dumped 'em in the sink. Washed my hands. A nice, thorough hand washing. Lots of soap and hot water. I was dealing with raw eggs after all...

Hell.

I washed my hands WHILE THE FREAKIN' DOUGH WAS STILL IN THE SINK.

I am a genius.
Always have been.:D

The best aspect to making cookies late at night is that when you wake up in the morning and stumble out of your bedroom you are greeted by the Heavenly smell of your late-night activities.
MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

ok, I confess, without much of the bitchiness, I'm a male Martha Stewart I guess.

The very first thing I ever made, and my Mom loves tormenting me with this story to others, was when I was 8 years old. I banned everyone in the house from the kitchen, and made lunch for them, but the lunch wasn't the surprise, the homemade apple turnovers, (that I might add were very delicious), were. I might also add, that I was asked by my younger siblings to make more everyday.

I don't think I've made them since to be honest, and that was 27 years ago.

Comshaw,

2 tablespoons of floor, huh?
Is that available at the local supermarket?

Yum.

Of coarse! And for a small fee I can be persuaded to demonstrate, in person, how to put all these ingredients together! It might entail me standing behind you with my arms around you, hummmmm, awww, wellll, helping you to stir the concoction. That's the only way to really appreciate the complexity of the job. Takes awhile too. I might have to hold you for quite sometime! On second thought, forget the fee! think my assisting you would be fee enough!
