I created an Erskine Caldwell style erotic thriller guaranteed to piss off Laurel. Donald J. Tramp and Hillary Clampett are principal characters. All know them well and they save plenty of pencils and paper. I use both as plot villains to move the story along. Laurel wont get it.

The tale isn't political, its satire of how fucked up America is.

Not much of a threat. You haven't posted a story here for two years. ;)

JBJ, the Howard Hughes of Literotica - every story the Spruce Goose, every plot the sale of TWA, every last drop of piss and shit saved in a bottle. And Mormons with boxes of tissues. What's not to like?

Your eyes not so bad Noir, or you doing this all by Stephen Hawking's vocoder (bought cheap in an end of life clearance sale)?

You have no idea how blind I am but its real. I live and die by work-arounds. The secrt is familiarity with my turf. I imagine you get around okay at home, at night. You go with what you got. But don't hope for me to write tranny romance.

Hughes Spruce Goose flew.

Probably liked better if it actually got written, which JBJ can do when he's not just bullshitting for attention. He's a good writer.

Indeed it did. There's actually quite a good fictional look at Hughes life, written by an Australian author who used to be a junky - so he got the addiction stuff right:

God of Speed, by Luke Davies
Boeing created the B36 for the Spruce Goose job, then the C124

Speak of the devil.

Back in 7th grade Tex and his gang made a rock band of harmonica and accordian players tjey caaled themselves LED BALOON.

Good Morning, JBJ.

I see you're still looking for attention. Politics in the AH. That's a no-no and you know it. But you keep pushing. The last couple of times that happened, you got banned. Keep trying and you'll make it again.

By the way, your jabs sound like the 7th grade.

Some people never learn.

Hey cut it out, you guys. I AM Howard Hughes... Except I never 'collected bottles' of nuthin and that idiot Maheu was trying to track me and a few other people involved and we had ways of faking where we were, is all.

According to the LIT Nazis plenty of first rate authors are verboten from posting their political t\\\\\\ themes here.here : Dickens, Kenneth Roberts. Hemingway, Steinbeck. they want snowflake stuff no sane person likes.

You're right, I've never seen Dickens, Kenneth Roberts. Hemingway, and Steinbeck post here, political or otherwise. I did see you get put on suspension for doing so, though, in your last account name.

Well, there is a politics board and there's plenty of politics on the general board, so it's not like the site entirely bans it. I haven't noticed the specifics yet, but I assume some politics must get into the stories at times.

Wouldn't his proposed Donald / Hillary idea fit in either Celebrities and Fan Fiction or Humor and Satire?

When stories get into current politics, Laurel tends to reject them. And, with JBJ, he's posting this sort of stuff to troll the board. He isn't actually going to write a story.

Laurel's not the first Nice Nazi to come along. FACEBOOK and TWITTER are up to their asses in nice and losing their asses un the stock market. Boards that are too nice go away. Boards are entertainment not PC chapels.

And civilised dialogue is always civilised dialogue - regardless of which side of the argument you chose to cheer for. :)

I wish there was a like button here for that comment. It seems these days everyone goes around outraged at all times. The biggest way the internet has brought us together.

A story about Donald and Hillary meeting each other and having a fling in, say, the 1970s or 1980s might actually have some merit. You'd have to do some research about what was happening in their lives in a specific year.

Chances are good Laurel wouldn't accept it. You can always try.

I'm not really serious about writing such a story right now. But I am curious; did Lauren ever say why politics is problematic here? Too much chance of controversy, might disrupt the site? (To be fair, I have seen politics spin out of control on other sites to the point where message boards were shut down either temporarily or permanently. And those weren't specifically political sites.)

I can't imagine that Lauren herself supports, say, the alt-right if she runs a site like this, but I could be wrong.

I think it was more a premptive strike to knock it on the head before it got out of hand. Good move In my opinion and something for the resurrected one to remember. Lest it go too far. There's fun and there's fun.

Speaking of Spruce Gooses, I just dug up a couple of old books by Ernest K Gann. Fate is the Hunter and also his autobiography. Fascinating to read.
