A large noble house, a castle to some, to nobles it was a "Lovely home" This particular noble house had quite the view. It sat on the high cliffs, over looking the Ocean, to the east was the docks, they controlled the docks. It served as the perfect look out, they could see the boats, they could see who was coming in and who was going out. These nobles were very well guarded as well. Many came here to trade or seek there valuables. They often over charged and robbed people for there wares.
There was a small band rogues, known for there abilities. They loved to steal, they loved to do jobs for gold, or for favors, some did jobs for information. Well, one particular job that was given to a rogue named
"Myxoplyx, we have a job for you, one that we know you can handle."
The parchment was handed to the small dark skin elf, with a bald head for a sharper, quicker travel, no wind resistance. He dressed in black leather, with buckles all over him on areas where the leather did not cover. He wore a fancy bracer on his left hand and a gauntlet on his belt loop. His gray cloak seemed to move in a breeze that only made it flow it seemed. This dark elf, named Myxoplyx looked at the parchment, read through his crimson brown, almost red eyes and he grinned as he looked to the Guild leader.
Myxoplyx: "Thank you boss, I will not let you down. I have a score to settle with that family."
He bowed low and turned to walk out of the building. He knew he had to get to work on this one. This was one hell of a house to get into, highly guarded, highly warded, eyes everywhere. He shook his head and made his way to his home. He put his hand to the door way and released the arcane lock.
"Black"
He walked in than and placed his cloak on the rack and he walked in. The place was huge, even though it looked small from the outside. He looked at the planning board and started to write things out.
"Planning stage."
Myxoplyx than walks out of his place, he takes a hat off the wall and his cloak, he walks out of his place and looks to the door, he sees the glow and thinks, "Red"
He places the hat on his head and put his cloak on, he grows taller and has a very noble look to him. White robe, royal blue cape, lots of jewelry, rings, necklaces, these fancy spectacles. He walked and made his way to the noble house, he walked with a few others on the road to the noble house. He looked around, saw all the traffic going to there to conduct there business. He could easily rob them all, and they wouldn't even know it, but he had to keep himself under control, did not want to draw attention to himself. He took notes of all the guards, paying close attention to there moods, how tired they looked, how alert they were, the weapons they carried, the hand they favored. He grinned and whistled a note as he got to the gate and saw three more guards, they wanted to know why he was there.
"Noble Hatson, surveyor of fish and wares of the sea. Here to see about making a trade for services."
He saw the guards and took note of a wizard with a scrying crystal. He knew his disguise could not be undone by a lowly wizard and his earring could protect his mind from intruders. He saw the guards wave him in and he walked on by, this bridge was high and no way one could survive the jump, too many rocks below. He took note of a strong ocean breeze, it was constant. The walk took about 15 minutes from gate check point and no horses were allowed on the bridge, he had to find out how did they got in. He had been in this place a total of three times, mainly for scouting and only once for a kill.
He was in and he looked around, saw this "house" castle. He again made notes of the guards, inventorying them in his mind, they all looked bored, like they wanted a fight, wanted some action. He walked into the audience hall and saw the line, he looked to the sun, it was high noon. He knew he would be here till at least mid day before he had an audience. He told the guard his name and he walked into the garden area and he sat down, he adjusted his spectacles and let them record what he saw. His job was a tough one, there was a piece of inventory they really wanted to get there hands on, he had to figure a way to get into the storage room, he looked around some more as he saw a slave approach him and hand him a wine goblet. He smiled and nodded his head, handing the slave some silver coins.
He enjoyed his time here, he ran his hands through the fake long hair, he smiled as he sipped the expensive wine, seeing people waiting around. Six guards roamed the garden, not really looking like they cared for everyone here. He saw they wore scale mail, some wore gorgets that protected there necks, some wore full helms, all had long swords on there hips and they carried spears with the family banner, a eagle with the sun behind it. Gold tabards with a white trim, "fancy" he though to himself.
He wondered how many other jobs there were for this place, stealing, gather intell, he knew this family liked to think they ran the city. Little did they know they were a big, fat target. Myxoplyx grinned as his wine was refilled. He looked around and wondered who else was working on this place... he loved how the breeze blew here, the air felt wonderful on his skin. He gave the slave a few more silver coins and smiled. Everything he was taking in, soon he would have enough and he would go back to plan, he just had to figure out where this particular item the guild had an interest in was being kept. He had to think.
Wands, Haste, spider climb, wind wall and levitation.
He looked to his hand and saw the rings he chose to wear, lightning bolt, fireball, shatter.
He knew he could change his appearance and all, but he had to do this task very carefully. He knew he should be very careful, he could fight, but no one could fight all these guards, they had wizards and they had clerics.
He chuckled and sipped on his wine, than he saw a man walk up to him and tap a wand on his goblet and he looked to him as he met eyes with a wizard, he wore a gold robe, Myxoplyx nodded his head and smiled. The wizard eyed him and than walked off, tapping wine goblets to chill them.
So wandering Wizards as well... they had this place secure. But Myxoplyx was no novice...
"I will crack this..."
He grinned as he walked down one of the large halls, admiring the statues and art as he walked by.
