that no one wants the government up their ass, but are perfectly comfortable encouraging the government up everyone else's ass.

"I'm OK, but you're fucked up and we need to do something about that."

Jeffersonian democracy against the rest of the world. Interesting how the south lost the war but nations such as Canada and Switzerland adopted key portions of the CFA's constitution unto themselves.

There is no perfect form of government, only varying degree's of oppression. And you want more of that?

Capitalism? It's the way you and I do business. You name your price and I either haggle with you or walk. The whole world is, or should be, a garage sale. If you are compelled by the government to buy ANYTHING then you are a victim of a legally mandated monopoly, or a restricted market. Why should I have any confidence in some asshole in DC that can vote themselves raises has my best interests in mind? I'll believe that when they leave office poorer than the day they were elected. But that isn't the case........is it?

Socialism? Communism? Tell me how that works.

In the days of the Pharaoh the government took 1 in 10. In the days of feudalism the government took 1 in 3. Today, if you are gainfully employed, the government takes 1 of 2. That's right, 50%. How dare you call yourself a "free" people?

The 'Second Civil War" is upon us now. The core issue is the same, Jeffersonian vs Hamiltonian form of democracy. Right now we are in the grips of Lincolnian form (Hamiltonian on steroids) while still cleaving to Jefferson. Split personality writ on a national canvas. Trump is the symptom, neither the virus nor the cure.

Make up your mind and make it up soon. And make it up in an informed way with a plan.

In Berkeley on Sunday, some observers derived satisfaction from watching far-left protesters beat up and chase off a young man at the rally in apparent support of Trump.

“It’s a good time,” said Tom Martell, 70, of Crockett, who stood in Civic Center Park with his girlfriend, Lisa Argento, 53.

“They’ve got to be chased out,” Argento said. “I moved to the Bay Area and pay good money to live here. I don’t want these people here. They need to leave us the f— alone.”

Who were they beating down?

People praying for Peace...

All you need to do is label them "right-wing" and they are fair game.

It certainly is entirely too late to work within the system, it seems.

Still, I'm not sure that it's time to shoot the bastards . . .

yet . . . .

Eventually that batmen will run into a gunfight...

That's when the press will demand a crackdown.

I once wrote a paper for the anarchist kids explaining to them why they needed to own firearms, and what they needed to acquire, and why.

Well, some guy named Buster Capps did.

They rebelled. I mocked them and their childishness.

Meh . . . .

Funny thing is, that when they finally run into a larger, better organized crowd, they won't try to fight their way out, they'll call for the po-po for the "protection" of their right to free speech...

And the press will be right their demanding that protection for the peaceful antics of AntiFa!

The First applies to Congress . . .

and not to them.

So, it's okay to cry "fire!" in a crowded theater as long as there is one.

And there isn't.

I find it really telling that the so called right wing "patriots" are the ones calling for a civil war while they have control of the white house and congress.

Personally, I think calling for a civil war is pretty much the antithesis of patriotism.

Funny how this mirrors the propaganda put out by the NRA perfectly.

The NRA isn't the driver of this sort of anti-american rhetoric, it's coming from the "grass roots" tea party/trump/breitbart/koch brothers agenda.

They want to drum up their low-info base and they can't do it on policy or accomplishments, so this is the best they've got.

No, I plan on defending myself from violent protestors. How about you?

Ishmael

I don't worry about strawmen and imaginary enemies. I see that you do.

Other than in your drunken imagination, have you encountered many violent protestors?

i wouldn't mind the government up my ass, if they footed the bill for the colonoscopy. and by they, i mean we. every american deserves to have a clean ass.

You have no way to determine if he's drunk, do you? We can, however, easily determine you're a fucking moron just by reading your posts.

This hasn't been a good day for you, Dick. Go outside and get some air.
