You can have your jello shots in about 30 minutes if you use a pyrex measuring cup (4 cup size), a tea kettle, and a freezer.

we used dixie cups... never worked out very well, they were huge!!! wasn't much of a shot! but a damn good desert!

Oh yeah, and by doing it this way, the heat doesn't evaporate any alcohol.

Heat teakettle with water (as per package)
Put Jello mix in large pyrex mixing bowl. Add hot water and stir until mixed.
Put hot jello mix in freezer for 10 minutes.
Pull out and add alcohol (equivalent to cold water measurement on package) to now chilled jello.
Pour into small cups (yes, most liquor stores have them now, if not, then a restaurant supply place) and put on cookie sheet and either in freezer (20 minutes) or fridge until set.

Add whipped cream. Use toothpicks to loosen unless you can suck. So SSS, get a toothpick handy!

Although why bother, just do straight rum with tooth pain?
