it feels like I have become the protagonist being treated that way in the story.

I've been enjoying so many wonderful stories here and have found a lot of inspiration. I'm part of a women-led creative team and wanted to kindly ask if any writers might be interested in exploring possible collaborations.

I've been thinking—when the story's main character is being treated with a particular toy, and the reader is experiencing the same toy at the same time, could that create a unique and special connection? It's an idea that really fascinates me.

I've also seen similar works from different countries and cultures, and I find the variety of stories truly fascinating. I'd love to share and discuss ideas with you all.

Excellent question!

I think that's pretty much the point of all writing, and especially erotica. To make the reader feel like they are the main character of the story, or at least have enough in common with the main character that they can feel some of what the character is feeling.

I was thinking of doing something similar to this with twins, although apart they are always together in their minds. Maybe?

Welcome @BadPeach_ sharing and discussing story ideas is the purpose of this forum. So you are in the right place. The more concrete your ideas are, the more feedback you will get.

To help me understand better, is that you want to write about a reader who uses the same toys as the protagonist and then they somehow get into sync?

I’m interested in this. I’m curious to know what a reader would be looking for when the protagonist is the opposite number of their own sexual orientation. So, for example, I am most likely to write a protagonist as a man, and I do wonder therefore what a woman is going to get out of it in terms of stimulation. Obviously what the man is thinking, and what he is experiencing is interesting, so it’s not just physical description, but going back to your point, is it therefore good to provide some variety by writing some more graphic detail about what the guy is doing physically… this sounds like it’s going to be essential in order to appeal to all readers.

In reply to the OP, I have for example frequently masturbated or touched myself in the same way, and with same rhythm to what I am watching on a video, and I think that this is valid for writing too. If it’s a good story, and I can use my imagination to place myself into the scene, such as being used, touched, flirted with, played with, or using a toy, etc, etc, etc, then that’s really yummy. 🔥

In my last story Dear Rosie [gratuitous plug] I purposely wrote it in a way in which the reader could engage as the protagonist, but also particularly for women who might be able to imagine what it might be like to receive that kind of attention. In another short story, I switched perspectives backwards and forwards throughout the text.
