When you find that people who you thought were your friends...

turn out to be bitches who mock you behind your back.

Such is life, I guess. ;)

I was told once, "If you want to find a woman's faults, compliment her to her best friend." An interesting observation that seems to have more than a grain of truth.

It is disheartening and it's easy to become a little jaded but more often than not most people are lovely and when you find those friends they are like priceless treasures who bring so many wonderful things with them. :)

I'm a guy so I dont pretend to know how the female mind works, but without paint brushing women in general. This is how they seemed to act in social environments from very early ages in grade schools. not all but many.
Dudes aren't like that. They will call you a asshole to your face because they like you, or because they dont like you. Either gesture will be made clear.

People online are not real friends, dummy.

Not entirely true, I've met people online that I ended up hanging out with in RL and still get together with, not from this site, but I've made friends online that I would consider real friends now.

If you want a loyal friend, get a dog.

Harry Truman said something like that.

that's sad. fortunately, most people aren't that way, despite the cliches being offered by the usual suspects :rose:

Debbie I'd bet you are easy to be friends with in real life.

My husband and one of his best friends call each other 'shithead'. The more they email or visit the more they say it. My husband's friend told him when I stop calling you shithead it's time to worry.

We were on a lot of motorcycle sites and actually met several couples and single males different places over the years. We were even invited to stay at a condo in Naples, Fl but we moved too soon. Like many of our friends they have no idea about our secret sex life and how I dress.

If you want a loyal friend, get a dog.

Harry Truman said something like that.
We love dogs and many people. Dogs are too much trouble to take on camping and vacation trips. At least our friends can go pee by themselves. You have to get up and take a dog outside.

I put this on your thread. maybe it should be here too.

I find most of this confusing. We have a lot of friends. Some are good friends and close friends. Others just people we meet mostly by accident repeatedly at events. I suppose they could sometimes be good friends if we lived closer and got to know them better.

We'd trust those good friends with no danger of being cheated or lied too.
Of course we don't have many truely good friends left. At our age the old neighbors, old friends, and school mates went and died and left us lonely.

My husband is not big on saying I love you. He only tells me I love you at bedtime or when I force him by saying I love you to him.
But I've noticed in the last few years he even says I love you to our grown kids and our friends. Yes even the male friends. The guys don't hug or kiss. It's a different I love you but they all know what it means.

So are many human friends. [You know who you are.] Dogs don't often awaken at oh-dark-forty drunk, shouting, barfing, staggering through the fire embers. Our dogs have been better people.

I keep trying to figure out why humanity is so full of shit when there are so many assholes.

If I took the GB seriously, I'd either not post, or I'd have the record for longest iggy list. :cattail:

We've camped a lot over the years and seen or heard those dogs. Also those little high pitched barking Poodles shouldn't be allowed near a campground. Some dogs and some people need more training.

I keep trying to figure out why humanity is so full of shit when there are so many assholes.
You just answered your question. Every asshole shits. Some just seem to be fuller of it.

"My husband and one of his best friends call each other 'shithead'. The more they email or visit the more they say it. My husband's friend told him when I stop calling you shithead it's time to worry."

Thats basically how it works.

"We were on a lot of motorcycle sites and actually met several couples and single males different places over the years. We were even invited to stay at a condo in Naples, Fl but we moved too soon. Like many of our friends they have no idea about our secret sex life and how I dress."

Yes, thats kinda what I meant, just friends and nothing more, bunch of still get together a couple times a year in Myrtle Beach for a wild weekend,, been doing it for about a decade or so, and as far as daily communication or staying in touch, we just troll each other on Facebook now.

Is this about that backstabbin' Glynndah?
She SWORE she'd respect me in the morning!

^ Look at the creepy sissyboi panty-sniffer skulk around for Rob's attention. Sad!

Did you forget that "you" used this alt to start yet another vanity thread about me yesterday?

"You" seem awfully upset that "Rob" (who no longer deigns to address me directly) is being picked on.

To give credit where it is due- "Rob" is smart to avoid displaying his ire as "Rob" since maintaining face is of paramount importance to "him."

What a sad little tranny you are.

Not sad at all. Full of mirth that all it takes is pointing out Rob's failings in a post to send the not-Rob alts into a frenzy of retribution.
