Kim Jong Potbelly?

Yep, I think he is.

Further more I agree with the policy. The lesson goes back to Jefferson and the Barbary Pirates.

Sometimes I think Trump is trying to provoke him.
Sometimes I think Trump is trying to retaliate, because Trump's personal creed is to "hit back twice as hard."

Mostly I think Trump envies Kim's relationship with North Korea's news media.

You agree with the "policy" of mutually assured destruction?

Fantastic. Why don't you and all the other wingnuts go to the temple mount and do each other in, and leave the rest of us in peace?

I think Trump is trying to out-crazy the fatboy.

Kim Jong Un was probably think that ranting about his nuclear button will bring us back for diplomacy so he can get what he wants. That strategy has worked well for him with the past three presidents. The problem that Un will need to eventually understand is that Trump is a crazier bastard than he is. I would not be surprised if there are at least three U.S. nuclear subs chilling out in the South China Sea waiting for launch codes.

I'm pretty sure that one of our subs has more nukes than all of North Korea's nuclear arsenal.

And a softer and smaller target to shoot at.

And it was validated even more when JFK faced down the Soviet dictator during the Cuban Missile Crisis.

"Crazier" Or some one that's finally willing to call his bluff before it goes too far? (And in many respects it already's gone too far.)

and which three presidents were those and what dimension are they from?

-Trump's administration fired up our coal mines and the USA is selling coal to China.
-China stopped buying NK's coal.
-NK is in a bad position after a string of bad decisions and bad luck with mother nature.

The USA and China are putting the squeeze on NK economically.
Trump's now squeezing Kim militarily.
It's gangster, and I know there are a lot of leftards around here who l0ve gangsters!!

JFK caved on the Turkish missiles.

Tromp will cave on Kim's threats.

Amateurs don't know the game.

Ahh, another foreseer. Foreseer's and mind readers are a dime a dozen on this site. All with outstandingly poor records.

Did you factor in China? Japan? Taiwan? S. Korea? Too much for your minute mind to encompass?

Do you have any idea the diplomatic weapons Trump has at his disposal?

Regardless of the press do you understand that Trump and Tillertson are playing "Good cop, bad cop."

No, you don't understand shit. As long as you've been here you've never, ever, expressed a single original though. Just another monkey in the jungle.

Lying about his dick being bigger? I have no idea and it's not really something I care about.

BS.
His removal of the regulation preventing mine waste from being dumped in to streams had negligible effect on any production increases.

Trump didn't have anything to do with 3 mining companies that shut down and entered bankruptcy beginning operations again after emerging from it.
Trump didn't have anything to do with the increase in natural gas prices that lessened it's attractiveness in comparison to coal.
Trump didn't have anything to do with the fact that more jobs were added in the coal industry in the last 5 months of the Obama administration than the first 5 months of his. Obama didn't have anything to do with it either.
Finally, Trump is opening more federal land to fracking which will likely result in lower prices with the commensurate reduction in demand for coal.

As ever, right on topic.

Fucking yesterdays moron.

I think his real target is the media and the Left; he enjoys the resultant crazy tweets and reporting (/celebrity meltdowns) that resemble some of the posts in this thread. President Obama would be tweeting to Kim, "Promise to dismantle our missile defenses! How much aid do you require?"

I've been trying to think of a 'sock puppet' analogy. But suffice it to say, he tweets, they twitch. Every day is a new Jeff (faafaa) Dunham skit.

The my button is bigger than yours cracked up the gang at Denny's. You know it is!

Trump is almost entirely reactive, not proactive. He lurches from one reaction to another, frequently flying off the handle.

I believe when he finally gets cornered, it will create a very dangerous situation for all of us.

Trying to ascribe an underlying strategy to this man is a fool's errand.

One more check mark in the "pansy politics" column.

Correct for once, Squanto. With Trump, it's all about sucking up to his base: give them the optics, give them the talking points and watch the all-important ratings climb.

He knows if he feeds you and your fellow slack-jawed mouth-breathing knuckle-draggers enough political red meat, you will gladly let him burn your house (or teepee) down if it means the librul next door will choke on the smoke for a minute or two.

Von Mises' nihilism at its finest.
