I hope not....my question to fellow Litsters:

Name Your Favorite Concert that you attended??

A Nomeansno gig at the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. Mr. Wrong was in a priest ensemble and Mr. Wright was full on leather daddy. I still remember the light reflected off the massive chrome keys on Mr. Wrongs base guitar.

A NIN concert my senior year of college. Probably my favorite 'band' went with a great group and somehow stole some great seats. Plus, the free weed and shit.

I'd probably say a backyard party when I was a teenager in San Diego. A local punk band called Santa Claus was playing. It was pretty wild and the cops showed up and everyone spilled out onto the streets and started vandalizing cars and stuff. I used to have their demo tape but somehow it got lost over the years. Sadly I can't find anything about them on the internet. :(

Al Stewart, always.

None Al Stewart-Paul Simon Rythmn of the Saints tour, Bowie-Glass spider, Prince-Love Sexy

Swine King double headling with Pocket Fish-R-Men (the future Gods of Rock) was pretty damn cool. Teengenerate was a damn good show as well, especially as L7 made a surprise appearance and played a set at the end of the show.
But the best was pro'lly the Ramones followed by Debra Harry, then by the Tom-Tom club at Aquafest. It was even better that we slide under the fence for that show.
But then again, Tool with the Melvins was a damn good show as well.
So was the Fabulous Thunderbirds @ Antone's.
The Dead (85) @ Manor Downs
BUtthole Surfers @ the Ritz (Hairway to Steven tour)
Tool and Flaming Lips @ the Oprey House
Ween @ Liberty Lunch (12 Golden Country Greats tour)
SOD @ Liberty Lunch
Helmut @ Liberty Lunch
Speultura @ Liberty Lunch
Johnny Cash @ SXSW (Emo's)
Big Head Todd @ Hole in the Wall
Stevie Ray Vaugh @ the Auditorium
Ant Man Bee (several venues)
Joan Jett @ the Electric Lounge
So many bands, so many clubs, far too many to remember and write down here.
Good times, good times...

Good choice. I saw NIN a few years ago, it was good but not the best concert I've been to. My brother getting thrown up on in the pit was funny. :)

Reminds of sneaking in to see George Straight at the Starlight Bowl in San Diego in college, during my country phase. That was fun because the price was right. :)

FarmAid 2002 in Pittsburgh.

Not because of the music, but because of how we arrived at the concert.

Def Leppard/Tesla

But only 'cause I got to kick Tesla's arrogant skinny little asses out of Arrowhead.

Where are they now?

;) ;)

Aerosmith/Manfred Man - I want to say July 3-4, 1976

First we showed up at Municipal Auditorium only to find out that it was the Isely brothers, so we had to run over to Memorial Hall. During the show somebody dropped a cherry bomb from the balcony and it went off right next to me.

I barely heard it...

40 Below Summer @ The Urban Wildlife Club
Down - all of the shows I've seen were great.
Jeff Loomis @ Dirty Dog
In Flames @ 1st Avenue

Those are all I can think of for now.

In terms of showmanship Aerosmith and KISS were the best I've seen which is saying a lot because I really don't like KISS. Gotta give credit where it's due though. They know how to put on a show.
I saw the Stones during their Steel Wheels tour years ago. A very good show, big, loud, fun but there was a certain detachment. Like they were so big that you never felt they were even aware of what city they were in or even cared.
For pure joy Manilow has always been the best. I've seen him several times and hope to several more. I want to see him in Vegas but haven't had the chance.

Clapton, Philly
Steve Winwood, Philly
Yes, at college
Diana Krall, Atlantic City
Cleo Laine, Philly suburbs

Bad Religion with Rise Against was pretty good back in 04

Ive seen Godsmack now three times now and each show was fucking amazing!

Theres a kid outta texas by the name of Eric Tessmer. Good ol Texas blues. The guys a beast!

James at GMEX in December 1990.

Oh, James supported by some band no-one had ever heard of called The Stone Roses wasn't bad, either.
