I just got back from a dive trip and have some neato pictures, would this be an appropraite place to post them? Or is this forum more for artistic endeavor?
 
THis is a barrel sponge. You can't tell, because there is nothing for dcale, but it's about as tall as I am :)

I drew a picture of it in my dive log, because I had no idea if the picture would com eout and the Mexican divemasters said the same thing woderin gif it was a penis I had drawn :eek:

This is cozumel. The lighter colored water is that way because the bottom is all pristine white sand washed up by the recent hurricane. It makes the water beautiful, but it can kill the underlying coral formations if it stays too long. They are hopeing it will was away prety quickly and the reef will be fine.

Here are some underwater photos of the sanbed. Keep in mind it's covering over the reef head in 45 to 80 feet of water.
