I googled for the name "Boxlicker" and I found some sites other than this one with some of my stories. There may be more but I found http://sweet-horny.com with "I Rendezvou with Dee"; I found http://brutal.sex-pic-sex.com with "I Critique Jennifer" and I found http://stilsex.com and http://amazingpeeing.com with "I Call on Janet and Ashley". I believe these are all a combination of free and pay sites and they don't seem to be making any money directly from my stories, but they are using them as advertising.

As I looked over the sites, I saw other names that I recognized as belong to authors on Lit., including mathgirl and svenskaflicka. There were probably others and there may well have been other stories of mine. I have never given anybody any permission to publish any of my stuff there but they may be associated with Lit. which would make it okay.

"George Boxlicker" is the name of my main protag besides being my handle.:(

It never ceases to amaze me how much work is stolen and shows up on other sites.

Thanks for giving the others a head's up.

I suspect that there is some kind of an external list with links to specific stories in Literotica, as well

I have some stories that have, pretty much, died after the first week, as I would expect, but a couple are still getting dozens of views every day. If it were internal, (such as somebody looking for my name) the views would be spread across the stories. All the stories might get a little boost after a new story is posted but nothing like this.

Has anybody ever ran across something like this, on Yahoo maybe?

As far as I know, this kind of thing happens all the time. Maybe one of the regulars can give you advice. I think Laurel can get into action for you because you only gave permission to Literotica, not to the other sites. It is stealing when you have a good look at it.

I never check my name, because that gives you an endless list of Dumas' story first.

LOL

I had a quick look and found Just-Legal and Bearlee on the third site as well.

Never dreamed anyone would bother with mine, but just found them all over the place... incest pay sites... rape pay sites... even a bloody vallentine gift site, (which claims that there's a $50 second prize paid on one of my stories)... first I heard of it... and names Pierce Street on the same page with a story.

Well I never.

:) I notified Laurel and she is looking into it. I can see how the stories can be caught on free sites but how can they find stories in pay sites? Buying a membership seems to be rewarding the pirates but I don't know how else to do it. Maybe having one credit card dedicated to just that one chore and getting a free trial period and tracking down everything and then canceling the membership. That would probably work but it seems like a lot of trouble.

The Price of Infamy...

I googled to find 342 sites.

Many have 'rape', 'brutal rape', 'sexual violence' etc in their URL.

Why have they stolen MY stories?

I think those who pay for the sites will be disappointed when they read my work.

The latex bondage site users will not like the story they have stolen 'The Vinyl Dress' because I'm satirising their fetish.

Oh well...

 The first story of mine I mentioned is in a site that specializes in incest but there is nothing incestuous in it. The second site is about brutal rape but my story of Jennifer, like almost all my stories, is about nice, affectionate sex. There is no rape in it and none of the stuff I have on Lit involves rape except two that are roll-playing. The story of Ashley is in a site dedicated to inexperienced teenagers and that one is correct.

I doubt there is a lot we can do about it because some of the pirate sites are located in countries that ignore copyright laws.

The last time I tried to enter some of the sites that have my stories my firewall and virus software had to work hard to avoid a takeover of my internet access.

Now I leave them alone.

If anyone notices any of my stories while perusing, can they give me a heads-up? I've long since given up googling TheEarl, cause it always seems to bring up a host of hotels.

I thought I should have a look, too. Most of the links found lead to Literotica, a couple to a Dutch site for another Alex de Kok, but four to a site which advertises itself as "BEST RAPE PAYSITES COLLECTION" which I find particularly distasteful.

I too have informed Laurel. Two sites have my permission to use my work, but all of the ripoff sites were using work from Literotica, some obviously with the credit lines still on.

I would find the thought that someone thinks enough of my work to steal it to be ego-boosting, but not when it's used to lure to a rape site.

I very strongly agree. The site that has my story about Jennifer is one that I wouldn't write for even if they paid me because I dislike their kind of story so much. I like to write about good sex and I believe the very best kind of sex is that which involves people who are all enjoying themselves. I did write one actual rape story one time. It was rejected by Lit as being too violent. I will never write another because it actually was disturbing to me that I would write something like that.

Apparently the pirates just lift the story, leaving it intact except for usually deleting the byline. If they had changed the name from "George Boxlicker" to George Smith" I would not have found them. In the future, I will include an unusual work in an unusual context in order to spot this.

Both of my Christmas contest stories showed up with a url for rape stories. Of course, when you clicked on the link, you weren't actually taken to the story.

I found another site:

http://www.beastforum.com/index.php?&act=Msg&CODE=01

Apparently, the site is lomething like this one except for people who are into bestiality. One of the members there posted one of my stories, "Deidre and Horny Horny" as his own. I don't know why anybody would do that since the writers don't get paid anything there either.

I'm considering blowing the whistle on him or her since they have very strict rules against that kind of thing. His or her name is Canis007, by the way, if anybody is interested.

Box,

I don't know why you'd have to think about that. It's your story, your effort and your idea.

WTF!!!

You are most likely a much nicer person than me. I'd expose him with utter delight.

Hi, BT. I'm not that nice a person and I intend to do just that but, for some reason, I can't do it yet. In order to blow the whistle, I had to actually join the site and now I find I have to wait three days before I can send any email or do anything else. I will, though, because I don't like the idea either.

I might even post a couple of stories I have written. One of them was rejected by Lit and the other one I wouldn't even consider submitting although this site will accept it okay.

Sory, am I suffering deja-vu here??

Didn't someone post a thread about this just a couple of months ago, with the same results and names mentioned????

I have seen threads about this subject but this is the first time I have ever been a part of one. When you say "names" do you mean names of writers or names of sites?

I know, I know. *grumbling* Nobody steals my stories.
That should make me happy.

In some ways I like the idea of people thinking enough of my stories to pirate them. On the other hand, what bugs me more than anything is the fact that some of them appear on sites specializing in violent rape. I can only hope that sometime a client will read one of them and be so turned off by the gentle, affectionate, mutually satisfying love-making in my story they will cancel their membership in the pirate site, and the site will go broke.

That's a nice thought but it probably won't happen.
