I've been working like a madwoman this month, and the result is that next month my salary will be twice as much as usual. Come end of February, I'll be one rich Swede.

You and me both, actually. I survive by inviting myself to dinner at my parents and grandparents this month. Next month I can take them out to dinner instead. Life as a freelancer is very irregular.

Just think of the feast-days ahead, and try to save some for the famine days that will inevitably come again. it's a rollercoaster, baby.

Of course, one could argue that if you have overage next month, that not spending it might help loosen the noose for the month after.
I couldn't save the money (heh, heh), but maybe you could.
