Is there such a thing as too much information?

It seems as if we are inundated with news, information, statistics, etc. Is it too much?

Good question

People are curious creatures by nature, though. And all of the information that we get would not be so readily available if there was not a large demand for it. And if you really want to avoid it, you can...by not reading a newspaper, not listening to the radio, not watching tv, not using the internet. So I don't think it's too much, simply because there are people who like knowing as much as they can about what's going on.

Somehow, I don't think that the tapes of the congessional hearings on the US's inability to defend against a biological attack enriched my current well being.
