I think that only you can answer whether something's wrong. But here are some questions that might help you sort things out.

Have you ever missed an event that was important to you (for instance a meeting at work, kid's baseball game, doctor's appointment, dinner with friends, etc.) because you were too caught up in fantasy and masturbating?

Do you compulsively collect and catalogue pics? How many cd's do you have devoted to pic storage? A couple? Dozens? Hundreds?

Do you call behind on things like your bills, home maintenance, work projects, because your time is going towards fantasy and masturbating?

How would your wife feel if she knew about your habit? Could you have an open dialogue about it?

Do you find yourself neglecting your wife sexually or emotionally because you'd rather be looking at pics or reading stories and masturbating?

My point is that your habit is not necessarily a problem unless it starts interfering with the things that really matter in life: your health, your family, your job, your friendships. Some people can use masturbation and sexual fantasy as a way of cutting themselves off from the real world. For many other people, it's simply harmless stress relief. Only you can decides which is the case for you.

Ultimately, if it really bothers you on some level that you do this, then quit. There's no point making yourself miserable about it.
