...to view my submission when it's gone into pending-mode? I don't need to edit it, I just want the text. You see, the .doc-file I saved the story in has been eaten by the evil computer goblins, and I need the story to post on another site. I don't want to wait 3-7 days to get a hold of it. :(

no, sorry. If you open it up, whether you actually edit anything or not, it's assumed that you have, and it goes to the end of the line.

Sorry. :(

I don't think she cares about that, cloudy. She just wants to copy the story.

Is that right? If so, you can.

As cloudy said, it will delay your story posting on Lit, but it seems as if that doesn't matter?

So I can open it up somehow? Please elaborate. :) I don't really care that it goes to the end of the line again, since I just submitted it anyway.

You used to be able to click on "pending" and open it that way, but I don't know if you can still do that or not.

Hmm, no. The "pending"-text is quite unclickable.

The last time I tried that(not too long ago), I couldn't open up the linked page.

If you used Word when writing and saving your story it makes back up copies. You can try doing a search on your C drive for the file name or a line out of the story and it could be hiding in your computer somewhere. Also, if you printed a copy of it, it may be in your printer files.

I already tried that, but unfortunately I wrote the story quite some time ago, on a different computer. So that's a no-go. My only chance seems to be to get it from literotica.

Of course, if there really is no way to get it until it is approved or rejected, I will survive. :) This is mostly a matter convenience.

Yes, I can.

Can you click on the story or the link that says Pending?

Is there some way to open up your story? (It's been a couple of months since I submitted a story - I don't remember.)

You could PM rgraham666? He is quite prolific these days and is very gracious. He could help.

As I said to Cloudy a few posts ago, no, the pending-text isn't clickable. :)

It doesn't seem to be a way, no. Not from what I can tell, anyway. This is my first story submission, so I'm not very well versed in the site or the system.

Alright.

They've changed the format. Once you've clicked submit, you can no longer pull your story up through the submit/submissions page. You won't see it until it posts.

Alright, the story got rejected. :( It seems when I upload my text it breaks paragraphs in odd places. I KNOW that everything is as it should before I paste it in the box or submit the file, but after I submit it it looks weird. And whenever I change it, it goes back to being weird after I've submitted and previewed it again.

It's also kind of hard to see if there's a line break at an odd place in that submission box.

Bah. What should I do?

Try c&p-ing it into Notepad on your computer. That'll convert it into unformatted text, which'll let you see where there's anything wrong.

If you c&p from Notepad, then you can guarantee that what you see is what oyu'll get.

When you submit the story and press the SUBMIT button you go to another screen that has your story as it will appear when published. At that point you should carefully go through the posting and make corrections.

What you are saying happens to me occasionally when I copy and paste from Word. Pain in the butt, I know.
