Is the US or China more democratic today?

After the last few weeks its now undeniable that the US is a totalitarian country.

Banning flags, forcing parents to inject kids with Big Pharma chemicals, political correctness gone mad fueled by a completely ridiculous "news" media that lies and distorts everything and spews nothing but raw biased propaganda 24/7, courts overturning the will of the electorate, a head of government who rules by decree and an "opposition" party that seems to be nothing more than a token rubber stamp to provide the appearance of a multi-party system, a climate of fear to express an opinion or differ with the socially accepted (media/government) norm, an ever larger expanding government with seemingly no mainstream opposition, a massive "prison nation" of 3 million people locked up including ever more "super max" hell chambers, people being sued for living according to values that were majority views little more than a generation ago. I could go one, but it becomes redundant. At some point, its not debatable the 200 plus year American experiment in freedom and democracy is over. Unlike other totalitarian dictatorships or oligarchies, however, the US regime won't admit to being a dictatorship.

Many other countries like China and Iran are going the other way, and moving from dictatorship toward democracy. In China the ruling ideology is based on the Three Represents:
"Represents advanced social productive forces" = Economic production
"Represents the progressive course of China's advanced culture" = Cultural development
"Represents the fundamental interests of the majority" = Political consensus

One of the main goals of the Three Represents is to change the Communist Party of China into a governmental and more democratic party. This opens up the Party to "the overwhelming majority of the Chinese people", as well as businessmen and managers. This makes for a party that is much more attractive for a greater number of people.

In other words, the government, though not subject to elections makes the explicit effort to represent and reflect not only the best interests of the Chinese people but the sentiments of the overwhelming majority of the people. The US elite and its media, make no such effort, as they claim there are "free and fair elections" and it therefore is already a "democracy." Yet, when the only opposition spends 90% of its time peeing itself over how to most help and support the ruling elites, it could be considered less reflective of the interests and opinions of the overwhelming majority of the people.

LOL then fucking move to Iran....

But I know you won't, you don't have a hair on your ass.......

If you're upset because a rag has been removed from a state's capitol grounds, you should read a few history books.

General Robert E. Lee stated it was time to furl that flag...in 1865!

Poor misguided and mis-educated fools

There is a large difference between 'talking the talk' and 'walking the walk'.

The former East Germany described itself as the German Democratic Republic. It had elections but only Communists could stand, and even then, only Communist Party Members approved by the Central Committee. Was it democratic?

China is a one party state, and local party chiefs have been able to ride roughshod over their people, stealing their land without compensation. Only now is China trying to deal with the endemic corruption of their officials. The electorate have no say in the selection of candidates, and are instructed who to vote for.

Free democratic societies can change their government without bloodshed. It can be argued that it is the only merit of a democracy, but it is a valuable one.

Where to start with this bullshit sandwich. First no flags were burned, you should be forced to inject your kids with big pharma or be forced to live alone on a goddamn island.

How biased the media is a mystery for a lot of reasons but we'll accept your premise for the moment. However that's been more or less the way things have gone throughout all of human history and how they will continue. The only really "good" news today is it's easier and easier to search out the real facts and get a multitude of opinions. The downside being with so many sources it's also increasingly easy to lock yourself in a little bubble where you never have to hear someone with an opposing view. The other downside is a crap like Analysis Paralysis which boiled down to it's simplest form simply states if you give a man too many choices they have a habit of kinda freezing up.

Courts in general but you mean judges specifically aren't supposed to give two shits about the will of the electorate. Only the proper application of law. Which is specifically why they should never be elected only appointed.

Obama rules by decree? On what planet? And the Republicans have rubber stamped his reign. . .again what planet are we talking about again? We don't have a multi-party system. Our system of voting makes a multiparty government impossible. So as they say, it's a feature, not a bug.

A climate of fear to express a different opinion? Oh come off it, if you're afraid to express your opinion you must be on some high end cray cray stuff. The The fucking KKK has been approved for a rally. Unless you're going to argue that the KKK are mainstream America you should probably stop while you're a head. The the New Black Panthers haven't been silenced either. Fox News is still up and running as is breitbart.com, Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck (though the latter has been sent to the entertainment equivalent of Siberia but that's because he was too crazy for Fox which. . .seriously how to cram that much cray cray into one head without it exploding? We've got candidates for US president bashing gays, bashing Mexicans and it seems like every couple of weeks a new video shows up of the police doing something they probably ought not. Maybe not perfect freedom of speech but again if your afraid to say something you should really think about what stupid shit you're about to say.

Every expanding government? You really have to be more specific than that since those words really don't have any real meaning without context.

Yeah we have a prisoner problem but it's not quite the way it's presented. We do have too many stupid laws (most of them drug related) but the real problem is prisons should never have been allowed to turn a profit. When you make money by putting people behind bars you find ways to put and keep people behind bars. It's a simple at that. And it's worth noting that some of the countries Like Iran and China might not imprison as many people as we do, but they will up and kill your ass.

Who specifically is being sued for living according to values that were majority views just more than a generation ago. I want specific cases not some vague boogeyman.

No, it is not open for debate that the 200 give or take American experiement in Freedom and Democracy is over. First it was never intended to be a democracy (nor are we now) but and as for Freedom, well what freedoms again are you missing that you should be allowed to have. Not vaccinating your kid is not a freedom you should have.

The US won't admit to being a dictatorship because it's not a dictatorship. That's just plain and simple. You can argue that we don't have as many choices as we would like, you can argue that the government works for the 1% to the near complete exclusion of anybody not in that group. That's again how all of history has played out, we can attempt to argue that it's worse now than at most points in history but that's open to debate.

Whether or not China and Iran are moving towards democracy is again open to debate but democracy isn't exactly a natural resource. They using more of it doesn't take anything away from us.
