Is the Bush Coming Back?

I read this in last November's Allure which was practically the only thing interesting in my gynecologist's waiting room (the other good stuff, as I was to find out later, having found its way into the examining rooms and not found its way back out again).

The article went on to say that the bush indicated mature womanhood and people were starting to get tired of completely bald pussies anymore.

Has anyone observed this in real life? I haven't seen much evidence of it in the stuff people are putting out in this place.

I've always preferred a fur toping to bare skin. Something about bare skin that makes me think its really a pre-pubescent vagina. Frankly 12yr olds don't really turn me on. :D

I like the hair, its soft, yet springy in a way, its great for resting ones head, and can be used for gentle teasing. Imagine spending a half hour running your fingers through that hair, coming oh so close, but never quite hitting the mark, she'll be begging for you to stop teasing.

Is hair making a comeback? Damned if I know, my wife isn't bare and thats just fine by me. :D

I must admit that I dont personally like totally bald ladies. Trim it by all means if you want to, but I do like to see some hair there.

As to whether its making a comeback, must admit that personally I've never met anyone who overtly trimmed their bush before anyway (apart from the holiday trim so as not to sprout around that skimpy swimsuit they bought), at least not that they would let me see :D

I'm a fan of bald lips and an eyebrow up top. But given my druthers between straight bald and natural, I'd take natural.

I've been all natural all my life (even though it hasn't been that long), but recently I asked my boyfriend to trim it a bit, mainly for photo purposes, but I've never felt the urge to shave it. Aesthetically, I personally like pubes better, as long as it's not too out of control. I think a large part of my anti-shaving is the fact that so many guys I've known are crazy about shaved ones...some will refuse to go down on a girl if she's not shaved or mostly shaved. I prefer to be stubborn (hee hee hee), even if it means I'm not going to have guys lining up to eat me (not that there would be anyway, but you get the idea). People have their own preferences, and there's nothing wrong with that, I respect it and all, but I get miffed when a guy will refuse to please a woman in that way just because she looks like any female over the age of 13 or 14 would naturally. I also prefer not to for the same reason Bobmi says...I don't want my vagina to look like a 9 year old girl's.

So if the neatly trimmed and/or natural looks are "coming back", then I guess I'm just cool and ahead of the times.

I agree with bobmi... 12 year olds, their puss' and the women that mimic the style ... don't turn me on.
And whats with the tattoos that are becoming more popular in place of the hair? ::shrug:: its not for me.

I used to go along with my partners' suggestion to go bald, but reciently I found someone that does mind so now its just a little fuzz ((ok... not a little, I'm Italian... it isn't my fault!)) uptop :)

Personally, I keep mine fully shaved, and I love it. Admittedly, I had a habit of plucking the hairs when I was watching TV or studying - which caused some embarrassment at the library in college. But ever since I've started shaving it all off - a few years ago - I stay excited all the time, especially if I don't wear panties, or wear crotchless ones. By the same token, I stay bare because I prefer it, not for someone else.

I have shaved since I was a very young teen...it gets way hot in the summer...and frankly you get funky WAY fast with hair down there....I personally dont follow the pube trends...Ill keep mine nekkid indefinatly. I like it bald.

Being smooth is fairly new for me, too, but I love it. The way it feels, the way it looks without without panties...

I figure someday I'll try shaved, just so I can have something to base an argument on (don't complain about the other side until you've tried it type of thing). Who knows, maybe I'll like it. But at this point in life, I'm too stubborn to change it. :p That and I don't feel like keeping up with the shaving all the time...I usually slack off with my legs anyway (*awaits all the disgusted looks*).

Whew, not political...

When I saw Bush in the title I thought this was going to be a scary political thread. Glad that it's not.

My new lady and I have been playing with trimming and Magic. She is 47, me 50. Does that make us old? :) We both started out by trimming our bush shorter. Both of us liked how it felt to us and we enjoy it on each other too. I surprised her with a Magic treatment and she loved the look and feel of my dick and balls. I trimmed her hair as short as I could with scissors. That looked so nice and she likes the feel too. She says that she can feel me better without the hair padding. When I left, LDR gig going on, I gave her a bottle of Magic. The next time that we're together she will use the Magic so we can both be bare.

Here's an article I found. Men shaving their faces isn't the same as women shaving, or is it?

that's good insulation man, ya can't shave it off!

As for the genital hair, I preffer to keep mine well trimmed rather then going totally bald. The lips I keep pretty hair free but that's about it. For me it's because I can't stand the itching when it grows back and my hair grows very fast.
I have gone bald a few times at a lovers request, but it never really made me feel sexy, in fact I can relate to the 12 year old girl comment.

Am I the only one?

Who has unbearable itching down there if you shave? I mean - need to sit in a tub of hot water for hours terrible itching!! I mean - itches like crazy for days and weeks afterwards til it grows back in!?! I haven't shaved since my last child was born. (19 years ago) I have on occasion shaved just my lips - but not in years. My current lover agrees with the pre-pubescent look thing ewwww. Plus he says if I shave - even after a few hours there is stubble and that hurts his face. (and we would NEVER want to do anything that would hurt his face or discourage him from spending as much time as possible down there!) lol

yup! I can relate 150%! I'm generally going nuts over the itchies within an hr. or so of shaving and by the next day I have stubble. For me it feels good for the firts hour or so out of the shower. I will admit the smoothness of the skin is quite erotic, but not erotic enough for me to spend the next few days running to the bathroom to scratch my crotch every 5 minutes!!!

I personally am not a fan of pubic hair on women at all. Maybe the occational "landing strip" is nice to look at but that's it. If there is going to be any interaction between me and said pubic area I prefere it to be bare.

As for the comment about hairless women looking prepubescent, men do it all the time. Most grown men naturally has hair on their faces. Yet most western men shave. We don't say this is prepubescent. Most grown women have hair on their legs. Ditto for them.

Sure I shave my face. If I didn't, my wife would never kiss me. A face full of hair is annoying, and there is considerable difference between a clean shaven face, and clean shaven genitals. A face can still look mature, while genitals don't.

(and for the record) I had a mustache from age 15, my upper lip was never touched by a razor until I met my second wife.

i go either way on this
i particularly like the style of the 80's fluffed yet neat and tidy and not growing out onto the legs
i first found out about this when i would sneak into my dads room and pillage his playboy collection

to this day if i come across a picture from that time it gives me a warm feeling

dorothy stratten, candy loving those were the hotties i liked...even though i was like 7 or 8 :)

That and I'd like to think that the face...since it exposed all the time...would have more attention than the genitals. I mean, most people don't come home from work and give their partner oral as soon as they walk in the door...most people give them a kiss.

If the hair on a man's face were soft like it is when it first grows, I wouldn't mind it, but as soon as it's shaved, it does irritate the face while making out...at least for me.

I don't see enough crotches to know where the trends are going but I prefer to see them either completely shaved or very well trimmed.

just a personal preference based on the fact that I prefer to spend most of my time 'down there' and things seem to work better for me.

I started a three-quarters decades before it was cool--at the time, I was in a 3rd world country and couldn't always depend on being able to get tampons, although pads were generally available. I just didn't want to put up with the clots caught in the hair thing when I got my period. I was furious with the hospital personnel when they insisted on shaving the rest of the area--the mons--when I had my daughter. I had shaved the area the baby came out of--shaving up north of that was just bureaucratic and stupid. And it itched like fury when the hair came back. I've kept it that way most of the time ever since. I don't like it when my husband stops what he's doing to spit out a hair.
