A suicide bomber blows himself up during a religious gathering. How are they going to top this? Worse, how does anyone negotiate with that thought process?

Yes, I know, Israel killed xxx innocent Palestinians and Sharon is an alleged criminal, blah, blah, blah.

It seems neither side wants peace.
They just want utter anihilation of the other side.

If the only way to achive peace is by killing all your enemies then you did not achive peace. You lost.

I don't mean all the palestinians and I don't mean all the Israelis. But for the fringe groups who belive that they are right because god said so what do you do?

I am contemplating posting a copy of one of my midterms that had to do with a Palestanian/Israeli peace plan.

I might do it just need to think/change personal info.

Hamaas took credit for this one.

We can't blame it on the peace-loving war criminal & the peace-loving terrorist who refuse to discuss peace until after they have it & whatever else they want without backing down.Neither of them can control Hamaas. It might be the only thing they agree on . Or maybe they only agree not to admit that they can't really control them.

ummm...i think i agree with this

Is support for the Palestinians eroding? Yes, at the moment it is and rightly so. But if Sharon over-reacts, and goes too far in retribution, then it might rebound. It all depends on what he does in retaliation.

Can't we just stick Arafat and Sharon in a cage match to the death and see who wins??

We could give the procedes to charity.

Haesn't sympathy for that whole region gone to shit?
Both sides are annoying the hell out of the world and of me.

Yup.

I was thinking something like the Thunder Dome from Mad Max.

Two men enter one man leaves.
Two men enter one man leaves.
Two men enter one man leaves.
Two men enter one man leaves.
Two men enter one man leaves.
Two men enter one man leaves.

Two men enter one man leaves.
Two men enter one man leaves.

After yesterday, even the Arab states are turning their backs on them.

Arafat has lost whatever control he ever had. He isn't even a figure head any longer.

Sharon has no choice. If he doesn't get a lot tougher soon, he will be gone. And someone much worse is going to take his place.

The Middle East is getting ready to explode. This could be bad, very bad. Even for those of us thousands of miles away.

Each day, more and more force is deployed for the attack on Iraq [by the United States]. Now raise your hands if you believe Isreal will sit idly by and not make a military strike against Arafat and his allies.

Patience has it's rewards...

'Teach - I truly hope that these words are not prophetic. The scary thing is, I really think that they may well be. NYC and Pentagon could just be the tip of that awful 'berg.
