I've been quietly putting up thread for a couple of months now and I have to wonder why the romance section of Chyoo is always so slow? Most of the stories there a fairly well written and have ineresting concepts. (Not that I would stoop to tring to hype my own stories or anything) Is it just because Chyoo seems to be a more male dominated site or what?

The fair songs of love.
Why do so many spurn thee?
Even men can be gentle.

How about going ahead and introducing us to your stories?

I think modest amounts of self-promotion are helpful. When things were busier, I would keep an updates thread going, and promote other people's contributions to my stories. :)

Hello and Welcome.

Hello there,
don't be worried about your story not getting a lot of attention. Chyoo has been pretty dead for a while now. And it's been in an ever declining state. The site hasn't been updated and promoted properly. Mostly, its a fluke when a new member finds Chyoo.

Is Romance Dead?

I don't think so L &F... I think people are more interested to start with when they subscribe to Literotica. on erotica.. its only after they "get over it"lol that they look around to see what else the site has to offer.

Myself..... i think Romance is what makes life worth living, and is very uplifting to read... gives one hope or something that we can write about other things beside war, sex, drugs..grin..
Ah well... my 2cents worth!!!!

one romance is not dead

two chyoo has sucked at promoting itself

three there is no shame let people know know about your story the chyoo system has been failing there for sometime now, just don't hyperpimp [to borrow an (AS)ism]

four why is that chyoo has been so bad about getting it's name out there

five listing your points is fun:D
