A few years ago here I read the term "online girlfriend" at first glance it seems silly, but is it though? I suppose there's probably other ways to frame it but at the end of the day many people here are looking for something that is very much like a long distance relationship, only there'll be no in person meetings after a semester away or after the business trip is over. Many here are content with keeping things completely online while sharing their life with their online other.
