Speeding up in Melbourne Australia...why do I feel like I'm participating in some strange global phenomena? You know, I read cyberspace referred to as the largest gathering in human history. I kind of like that thought. It's from Love Online - Emotions on the Internet By Professor Aaron Ben-Ze'ev. It's a fascinating book. I got a juvenile thrill the other day when it arrived from Amazon, the good Professor had signed it. I'm easily pleased. When Lit is very slow there's time to read while it loads up... There's an upside to almost everything.

I think literotica has a glitch in the format somewhere. I say that because of the times it won't show the last post even after refreshing the page. We've just got a new connection available to us over here, and its at 3mb which is three times faster than ordinary broadband. The only snag, it cost £50 a month. ouch.

We've all become speed freaks. I remember the good old days when you'd stand in front of the fax machine tapping your foot in agitation and swearing about how slow the thing was. The alternative was the post or delivery by courier. Now we (and that includes me, I have no patience...I am without virtue) can't wait for our broad band/adsl connection to fire up...God I love speed!
