OK…partisan hat off for a minute…I have a funny Jimmy Carter story.

I was in Boston on business when Ted Kennedy died. Later in the week, they were holding a wake or celebration of Teddy’s life and the former President was there. When I checked into my room that night, the Presidential suite was at the end of the hall and a SS guy was guarding the door. At this point I had forgotten all about the ceremony that night.

Next morning I go down for breakfast and going back up to pack for my flight, I come off the bank of elevators and almost run over this lady…who I recognized but couldn’t quite place. As I keep walking, looking over my shoulder and turning a corner, I turn and come face to face with President Carter! The lady was Roslyn!

I managed to mumble I’m sorry sir, and he gave me a “pardon me” and as I looked up, four secret service service guys who looked like they were about to pounce my ass, kind of checked up and the one guy who saw me the night before, actually smiled and winked at me!

Note that Donald Trump and his father did not attend the funeral of Don's older brother, Fred Jr. He was an alcoholic and a man that his dad said never had the business killer instinct.

I suspect Trump's children would attend the reading of his will but not the funeral. Nothing there for them but bones and they would not be worth picking over. They have the 'killer' instinct, well maybe not Tiffany.

I wish that I could have seen what he would have done with another term. He just had the bad luck of being the first Democrat in office after the Republicans wiped their ass with the country for eight years of lies and scandal.
