A lot of young people, and partly because of social media, don't understand that the only person you have to please with how you live your life is you. No others have the same exact feelings that you have, think the exact same way you think, or enjoy the same exact things you enjoy. It is better, both physically and mentally to be happy with yourself than to try to please other people with your choices.

Actually, younger women favoring older men has a biological component as well. Older men are typically more financially stable and are ready to spend their life with one woman. It's been that way since men were the hunters and women were the child bearers. An older man was a better provider and was willing to stay with one woman in order to successfully pass on his genes. A younger mate could bear more children and take care of them better. The only thing that's changed in today's world is "providing" means financial security. The desire of most men for a woman who is still capable of reproduction hasn't changed.

Let the critics say what they will. It's a fact that almost 50% of marriages end in divorce, and most of those are young people marrying before they understand what life is all about. There's a lot to be said for a spouse who knows the answers to the questions before they're asked.
