Just wondering how a true story on Literotica affects you? I find reading true accounts to be a real turn on. The only one I have found here is Jane Rolly’s story, "Sunrise My Darling". I have just read it again for the third time and it just blows me away. Is there any more true stories on this web site? True stories might not be as wild as the fictional ones, there is something about them that is very intensely erotic.

i too find true, or those that appear to be true stories are the biggest turn on. those and of course the well written ones....like Lovely Latina's

"...oh! its twue! its twue!.........care for some more schnitzengruben?"

Would Jane's story have been any less riveting and literate if it were advertised as "How I wish things had gone"?

I've read numerous stories on this and other sites that say "true story", "based on an actual incident", and "I've changed the names to protect the guilty" or other intimations that they are true stories. More than half of them are so obviously flights of fantasy filled with exagerations and physical or biological improbablilities that they cannot be taken seriously.

I personally don't care how a story is billed. I care about how well written it is.

I'd have to agree that the sense of reality does heighten the pleasure of reading erotica. It doesn't really matter though, whether the story is true or not. All it has to do is be realistic enough for you to imagine it happening to you for example. I quite enjoy the stories by Liquid Lisa/Lisa (and her photos are by far the best on this site BTW) which claim to be true. Of course they may not be but belieiving it is all that matters.

After reading her stories I sent her a few emails and it was great because she could answer questions about the various characters and events from the stories. This really brought the tales to life. Definetly worth a read.

I've never been too keen on reality myself but if that's what floats your boat..

Can you all imagine if my mirror story were true, you'd all be queuing up to have a go. haha

I do think it makes it seem more erotic if it's true though.

Every story I write contains something of myself. Sometimes it is an element of my personality, sometimes it is an episode from my life. It is all truth; sometimes, however, it is not fact.

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Truth or fiction? Whenever I see something like "based on a true story", my reaction is: "So?" A person could write a fictional story and declare it as "true"? How are we to know? Face it, fictionists are compulsive liars. But I can see how for some people the label of "true story" can lend it a level of tangibility that might not exist otherwise, leastwise in that person's mind.

Just for thought: Jubal Harshaw, from Heinlein's masterpiece, Stranger in a Strange Land, says the following:
" 'And don't consider revising, certainly not to fit the facts. My child, a true-confession story should never be tarnished by any taint of truth.' " (Chapter XVII, pg. 178)
CreamyLady is correct; truth is stranger than fiction. If a story fit the truth completely, no one'd believe it!

Much as CreamyLady wrote, my writing always contains an aspect of my life. In fact, in my case, most of my work comes from personal experience, just not all actually taking place, in reality, at the same time. Every once in a while, I pull from experience based on another author's work I have read in my past, when I am searching for a twist on a point of view or concept. It is these experiences that I consider "noteworthy", and therefore, end up in written form.

Just thought I would share a similar brief literary self-assessment.

I hope its not just me, everything i write is true and from the heart. Is it just me thats honest.?

Please read the posts above carefully. Obviously, you are NOT the only one who writes truth, from the heart, and is honest.

I have thought about some autobiographical stories, but then I realized my life has been so dull they would only be interesting to the people who wanted to kill me for writting about them!
