i should point out that strictly speaking, since virgin refers to someone who has not had intercourse, scalywag is correct. however, a woman who masturbates vaginally can experience tearing of the hymen. in that instance, while it may seem as though the woman has lost her virginity, that would not be consistent w/ the definition of virgin as the word is used most commonly.

Not by the correct definition, a virgin is: -

# A person who has not experienced sexual intercourse.
# A chaste or unmarried woman; a maiden.
# An unmarried woman who has taken religious vows of chastity.

You may pop your cherry (break your hymen) with BOB (Battery operated Boyfriend) but it doesn't count as sexual intercourse unless another person is involved, and they have a penis to insert into the vagina involved ergo have sexual intercourse.
