I had no idea what this thread was about but of course opened it cos of Abstrusita.

I'm very touched, everyone, and have been made very welcome in the past couple weeks by personal notes, even new flirtations (oh la la ).

I'm going to embarrass him but it was Mab. who enticed me back. I don't even think it was intentional, but durn't matter.

Real life is still good, and I'm going to have a very nice holiday time soon, so I just check in for the fun now (though I did conjure a bit of my old uppityness re. H.G. Wells ).

I don't know how to resize, though I've tried making them less than 150x150 but then they get teeny weeny size. I have Photoshop but obviously only know how to use the most basic tools. Thanks, P.

Try the "save for web" feature on Photoshop. I'd never noticed til Mats pointed it out for me and it makes it less memory without screwing up the quality.

Well, just so ya know, IrfanView saves files at a lower size than Photoshop does. Photoshop's compression ratio is rather skewed. It's also a very quickly loading program and useful for things like making AVs.
