I'm 33, soon to be 34, so, unfortunately, not older than me. I didn't see it until I was in my foster home, though. I wasn't sure who he was, and they were taking him from a baseball team, and you could see he wasn't good at baseball. I had some notion he'd played basketball. But I loved the movie as a 14-year-old kid.

“the line demarcating…”

to

“the line marking…”

Does anyone else have a default setting of “swallowed a thesaurus”?

My first drafts are often pock-marked with florid polysyllables.

I'm reminded of a tech writer who pointed out that "depress the button" was silly, when "press the button" was more accurate.
