are there a few members that are feeling a little down just lately?

I know I have been, and it's due to the fact that as hard as I'm trying I'm going to be here in the heat and Havoc will be there in the cold, and we won't be together.

Just remember that I will be thinking of you all tomorrow morning (chrissy here) and I love you all.

Thank you for your concern.
I've been a little down lately, but I'm finding my problems pale in comparison to some of the things others are going through. I'm very worried about some of my friends here, and I hope better days are right around the corner for them.

Hi Nicole, I think it is the time of year. I had actually been doing okay until today. Lots of the kids are home from their first semester of college & have been coming to visit. I love to see them, but it is so difficult to know that Justin isn't getting to do all of the first year at college things. My sweetie had to work last night & today, so I am home by myself until this evening, but will do better once he is here. I worked from 6-3 so the day went by quickly. I hope you & your son have a wonderful Christmas tomorrow, I will be thinking of you both. I have to go to work at 5am, but will be off in time to have Christmas Eve with my sweetie's family. Thanks for thinking of everyone, I hope next Christmas finds you here in the States. Hugs to you! Teresa

I think it must be the season. I've not been my chipper self of late because the bustle and crowds wear me out. This year, I've had to do most of my shopping in a wheelchair because I'm not as mobile as usual, and I won't even get into the horror stories of being in a chair while fighting the Christmas crowds. I'll sum up by saying: handicapped accessible my ass.

Coming here has really cheered me up, though. You all don't ask much, and as pathetic as it might sound, I've been a lot less lonely this year. I'm still fighting that shyness thing, so I don't always post a response, but I am following along, and sometimes you guys just make my day.

Thanks for asking, Nicole. I hope you have a great holiday season. That goes for all of you. Thanks for giving me things to laugh at and think about.

yeah Nikki, I've been down too. Due to the fact that my dad has declared he dont want me to be part of the family anymore.

But like everyone else. I'm hanging in there.

Marital problems galore. Not sure if it is even worth trying anymore

On top of all that I get to spend all day tomorrow with his family while he is at work.

I'm a little down because I miss my father who passed away just after New Year's in '98. Even when I sit down with the rest of my family at Christmas I'm aware of that empty space where he should be (and would be if things had gone the way they were supposed to). The impending anniversary takes some of the joy out of the Christmas season for me.

But I still have the pleasure of buying gifts for the people I love, and seeing their appreciation when they unwrap the packages. That counts for a lot.

I hope everybody who is feeling down can find a measure of happiness, no matter how small, this holiday season.
