Is it just me or does anyone else find the plague of "Influencers" to be a major turn off? What's your advice to them?

Don't get me wrong, I'm more than happy to admire and compliment women and men for their beauty, brawn and brains but I really struggle to comprehend the value and appeal of these self-appointed "Influencers" posing at the gym, humble bragging, and really bringing nothing to society. I'd never date one let alone fuck one. I prefer people who are in tune with the world and not obsessed with themselves and every reflective surface they pass. My advice to aspiring Influencers would be to do something that actually matters, be passionate, be INTERESTING and you will be noticed for way more than the vacuuous space between your ears and how you look on an exercise bike How about you? What would your advice be?

Not in a social media setting such ad Instagram or Facebook. Only on a dedicated site such as OF.

Yeah, there’s a lot of travel influencers on instagram. The thing is, if you go to one of the places they recommend, it’s already overcrowded and overpriced. Same with exercise and dieting. It’s nice that it works for them, but it doesn’t work for everyone.

In the end, it’s just a person spouting their opinion, and sometimes we mistake opinions for facts. It’s the same for a lot of things on the internet- opinions, not facts.

That’s one of the reasons some forms of AI are feared; some harvest data from the internet, which has a lot of personal bias inextricably interspersed with facts.

I really can't stand "influencers". Myself, I'm pretty shy and humble. I don't understand the need to be noticed, get attention and seek skin deep fame. Those folks baffle me. Im happy being invisible. OK, you're pretty now... but trust me, life and age are a bitch and will win the day. Putting all of your eggs in the notice me basket... well... gonna be a hell of a mess when the followers trail off and the basket falls.

I think they're great. At one time if you had a medical problem you had to go see a doctor, do you know how long it takes to train a doctor and how expensive it is? Now I can get advice from a 16 year old influencer for free. These people are a godsend to our economy.

Same if I want to advertise a product, sure I can go through proper channels with all the rules and regulations. God help me if I do a mainstream advert claiming my jars of jam cure cancer or something. Much easier to slip a few to someone with big tits and a million followers.

Now if only there was someone who could point out all the things I've being doing wrong all my life.
