So, what are you plans for Easter?

The Easter Bunny will be hopping through a few homes, I imagine.

Families may get together.

Others may chose not to observe the holiday.

If my youngest child gets over the flu, it will be Easter baskets in the morning and a family dinner/outdoor Easter egg hunt in the afternoon.

Happy Easter everyone.

:rose:

Yep the Easter DAD bunny will visit the house. have a basket for my son and even made one up for the Mrs!

I cant wait cause I have a new supply of peeps to devour! *G*:D

Happy Easter Miss Taken! Hope your youngest gets well enough to enjoy Easter. :)
Staying home for Easter. Youngest is crook with allergies but looking forward to carob buttons and sugar free lolliepops that are hidden in the house. Oldest is at Dad's for access. Will hide his
Easter eggs later!

Happy Easter everyone! :rose:

12.45am Easter Sunday morning here so the Easter baskets are loaded and await the Rugrats :)

I'm looking forward to Sunday lunch with the Inlaws, they give chocolate to the adults too :D

Shot the bunny... He should make a good stew... anybody want some chocolate eggs. Got a whole basket full of them here:D

Miss Taken, Christophe, Debbie, SINthysist... happy easter and happy easter to all the rest of the literoticans...

Believe it or not, there's a story on DrudgeReport.com this morning about rabbits attacking people...

So to all you Bunnies out there,

I TAKE BACK THE STIR-FRY CRACK!

hmmmmm I thought my cat nabbed him last night...ate im head to cotton tail......

Happy Easter Kiwi

My kids have all gone off chocolate. Even the youngest - mind you they're 14 now.

This is very significant for I've always harboured the fear that they'll turn out faschist, when they get wind of my leftie leanings.

So this going off chocolate - do you think that's the beginning of the declaration, "I dedicate my life to the opposite of what you believe in!" stage?

Because I still believe in the easter bunny and loads of chocolate.

Happy Easter all.

Rabbit stew anyone? My kids will eat chocolate til the cows come home. It took me 55 minutes to hide the eggs today and I can pretty much gaurantee that they will be all found and devoured in 7.6 seconds tomorrow...

Voracious little buggers... best not to get your hands near thier mouths while they are eating:D :p

One little blessing in our pre Easter chaos,

I have convinced the little ones that they HAVE to help me clean the house in order to give the Bunny guy some cool hiding places for eggs!

:D

Yes but I am sure It will work well....now I f i could convince my kid .....he knows where the goodies come from so he is not as eager to help!

I'm really beginning to like your kids!

Yes SIN, I can imagine that - but I believe they will come to their senses in their most influential years - about 2066, I guess.

About the time lavy comes to her senses, so we still have a zero-sum game...

Now, how to tip the balance?

Ahem, i used the Easter Bunny already. (Damnit you perv's, not in a sexual way.:D )
Youngest was feeling a bit crook and reluctant to go to bed so the plotting Mummy here said, "The sooner you sleep? The sooner tomorrow comes to see what the Easter bunny has left."

I know. I'm bad. :D But it worked. :)

Well, here goes.

On Good Friday I had the idea to go to the French Quarter, but the weather was not right so I hung out here, went to the bookstore, and went to the Library last night (titty bar).

Have no idea what is up today. Probably more indolence, porn, role-playing fantasy games, the last of my marijuana, porn, post-modernism, Jung, masturbation, and an attempt to stir some shit over French Symbolism, decadence and aestheticism. Maybe another trip to the bookstore to remind me I am human.

Something I had not planned was no coffee. What a pleasant surprise! I got to walk to the corner store and buy a large coffee. There were only 2 people working at the dry cleaner's as I passed- they looked like 2 Pi Kappa Alphas. There's a girl that works there that always brightens my day when she is there- she looks like a Tri Delt. Always hated "pikes." Lived across the street from them in Tallahassee. Made an observation to my sister once: Those pikes, they all look the same, but with different color hair. Anyway, I still got to walk to the store for coffee. I felt healthy walking up the street.

Tomorrow, I'll go to my parent's house. Not sure what is being served after Mass (I don't go). If I know my father he will have a nice ham because he loves ham or he will have a leg of lamb because my mother and me love lamb. We will knock eggs (Avoyelles Parish tradition). I think I'll rent some movies too. We can all pass out in the living room together.

It's only Saturday morning here, so I still have shopping to do today. There's a great German store with all imported chocolate that I'm heading to for the Easter basket supplies for my nieces/nephew. Of course, I buy a little extra while I'm there. :)

Tomorrow is church- my favorite hymns are Easter hymns. I'll sing my fool head off. Then we'll head to my parents' house for ham and turkey (for those of us who hate ham.)

Happy Easter, everyone!

Kicking back and cooking

Well, I am just going to sleep in (no church, being the heathen I am). Ten I will get up and cook my ass off (figuritively speaking)!

Since I tend to fall back on the recipes of my youth...soul food.

The menu:

Baked ham, candied yams, collard greens, and macaroni and cheese.

Dessert: (not soul food)

hot blueberry pie ala mode!

Yummy!

I don't have any particular plans for Easter Sunday, except to work, delivering pizzas, when the store opens. We open late on the Holiday, which is a cool thing. I should do some halfway decent business. We always do.

My big day is Monday! Half-priced Easter Candy! A shopping cart full of Peeps! Discount Jelly Bellys! Cadbury Cream eggs as outrageously low prices! WaHOOOOOOOO!!!

E. Stirbunny

Sunday... Well - "egg-hunt" at Bro-in-law's - mass confusion w/ 5 kids... even the 3 teenagers gotta have the chocolate fix - YIKES!

Sunday at 5 - Mother-in-Law's for Easter dinner - 15 people in a small apt. Fun, but I hope there's more than turkey! (Nephew and I prefer ham) :D

Ya, ya MissT - I know I'm a ham already... Sheesh!

Hope the littlest is better by Sunday :rose:

*bump* for those who'd like to spread good wishes for the holiday.

For the first year in my personal history, I expect to arrive on the other side of Easter without having to eat a single egg.
