Is Bush trying to tell us that he's got everything under control?

Big news tonight on UK TV.

America has a shadow government in place ready to take over if Bush and his lot meet with some catastrophe or other.

Fade to Bush, smug as ever, telling us that contingency plans like this had to be made since 11 September to make sure America continues functioning without too much disruption.

Didn't anyone tell him that most countries in the world have a contingency plan of this type in readiness for the 'worst case' scenario. He didn't invent it.

He sure is struggling to keep America's interest alive over his "war" against terrorism.

No other country has a plan like this one. It was created during the cold war, and was never a secret (only its current implementation was kept quiet). It's prudent, considering Al Queda's attempt (and their claim that they've succeeded, by the way) of creating a nuclear weapon. What your big Oo Gotcha! is about all this I have no idea. On a scale of 1 to 10 of your dopey "criticisms" of the U.S., I give this one 9 Shrugs.

*shrug* *shrug* *shrug* *shrug* *shrug* *shrug* *shrug* *shrug* *shrug*

Dixon, you misunderstand.

p_p_man thinks that if Washington gets nuked, in lieu of a real government we should just get a bunch of fat people with bad teeth, halitosis, and funny accents to sit in a room on ugly green couches and yell at each other. Then, when the main funny fat guy finally gets to make a point, his side of the room all go "Here, Here!" while the opposing side all go "Harumph, Harumph!".

Sort of like the House of Commons, don'tcha know?

DCL excellent ppman rebuttal, but my only criticism would be that personally I would replace your 9 out of ten shrugs with the dildo-meter.

We could give p_p_man 8-1/2 dildos out of a possible 10, or 9/10, or whatever.

Kick it around, no hurry.

now now dix my boy, don't get fiesty on us now, the eve of our joint invasion of iraq. Brothers in arms and all that half-baked stuff.

gordo

ps, i would add "make luv not war".....but i'm not sure s.h. is my type.

I love you guys.

In a purely platonic macho guy way of course.

Peeps, your lame criticisms are usually at least moderately well-informed.

You're below even your usual mediocre standard.
