By blaming Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party rather than the Russians for Donald Trump's victory Bernie Sanders casts doubt on Russiagate.

Senator Bernie Sanders, speaking at a rally in Boston, launched a stinging attack on the Democratic Party’s leadership, and by implication on Hillary Clinton.

Bernie Sanders’s point is that it was Hillary Clinton and the Democratic Party leadership who lost the Presidential election rather than Donald Trump who won it.

Bernie Sanders laid in especially hard against the attacks Hillary Clinton, some Democrats, and much of the neoliberal commentariat, have made against US voters who voted for Donald Trump instead of Hillary Clinton.

"Some people think the people who voted for Trump are racists and sexists and homophobes and deplorable folks. I don’t agree, because I’ve been there…..Let me tell you something else some of you might not agree with. It wasn’t that Donald Trump won the election, it was that the Democratic party lost the election…

We need a Democratic party that is not a party of the liberal elite but of the working class of this country, we need a party that is a grassroots party, where candidates are talking to working people not spending their time raising money for the wealthy and the powerful.

And when we do that, when we transform the Democratic party, we transform America."

Not really, no; the scandal remains the same no matter whether it actually tipped the outcome of the election or not.

I can't disagree with anything he said. The man is dead on. Had the dems not screwed Sanders to push their own 'deplorable' as candidate Trump wouldn't have won.

I say this being the exact person Sanders described. I voted for Trump not because I had a lot of faith in him but because of one fact.

I am not sexist racist or homo phobic, but was sick and tired of being told I am by the out of control libs like Hillary who claimed to be among many things a feminist while married to as big of a pig as Trump is and supports muslims who think rape is a right.

So my vote wasn't for him, but against her and there were a lot of us, enough to hand him the election.

The libs have themselves to blame for this mess and the fact they are now taking tantrums and spewing more hate than "deplorables' ever could isn't going to help their cause.

Maybe if this country could develop so form of moderate center party between teh religious right sexist homophobes and the left wing "Please rape my daughter mister muslim because we love you. then we might have a chance.

Bernie wouldn't have won. Even if Hillary had lost the primary, he still would not have won.

The DNC was too fractured and those who wanted Bernie to win, wouldn't (for the most part) vote for the H. The opposite was likely also true, many H voters would not have voted for Bernie.

The ONLY chance the DNC really had was if Biden had run. He could have united the D's to defeat any R challenger. That he didn't run was astonishing but points up the fact that the DNC wanted H in the oval office at any cost.

They just didn't think they'd have to pay up if she lost.

He didn't run because he knew Bill and Hillary would do the political equivalent of Sherman's March to the Sea. They would rather torch the party, and they knew where a lot of skeletons were, than to not have her shot at the crown.

You watch. She's not done yet...
