I am staying home for Thanksgiving. Why would I want to fly to where my parents are and get a major headache and quilt trip from them as well as taking a chance of being part of a tall building? Actually, the decision was made because of the guilt trip the parents love to put me on, not because I am afraid of flying. I hope everyone has a GREAT Thanksgiving and remember all the things you have to be thankful for! Guilt trips are not included.
There's nothing wrong with flying, as the saying goes, it's safer than driving your car to work everyday.
I've flown several times during that period, and since then, and I personally felt safe. While I'm not flying this holiday, my brother is supposed to. He has emailed me several times expressing his concerns, and each time I've told him to NOT worry about anything.
I will not be flying for thansgiving, but it has nothing to do with fear. I think that it safer to fly than drive, regardless of what has happened lately. We will be driving to Texas for Thansgiving. We are choosing to drive because it is only a 4 hour drive and because plane tickets for 2 adults and 4 children would just cost way too much!
I was thinking of flying to Germany, but since they don't celebrate Thanksgiving I guess I better stay here.
Teasing aside, can she folks? No, not flying, but then again. Everyone I am "suppose" to see is right here in town. Besides, I am retail folks. I get out very late the night before and have to be in to open the gates at 5. No point in going away.
