Is anyone else getting tamman tantrums via PM?

I haven't seen this much flouncing and pouting since the last time I gave feedback to a "romantic" poet.

Ah well, if he can't tell the difference between friendly people and sarcastic people, then I'm sure he'll make a lovely chew toy if he has the guts to stick around. I doubt it though, he appears to be gearing up for a tremendous drama queen exit scene, tiara and all. Men like that don't have the cajones to stick it out anyway. I prefer them with more stamina and less quivering bottom lip.

I missed it all. By the time I looked at his first post he'd removed all of them and all I saw was some pretty brutal stomping. What did he say to set everyone off so? Or would I rather not know?

Just that he was looking for submissive female authors. He failed to notice some heavy sarcasm from MG and KM and then took offence when everyone else started being sarky. It was all friendly, but he took it the wrong way.

And KM, the fact that you're getting PMs is the most telling sign that this person wasn't a grown-up. Your posts, along with those of SSS, were the friendliest of the bunch.

I might have considered apologizing before, except that I did try to give him a new thread.

My my, tamman has a real flair for writing PMs. I got several. Read the first and deleted the rest.

I was treated rather harshly when I first came on here. Of course, I deserved it because I didn't have the sense to read and keep still until I understood what was going on. I'm glad I stayed, though.

I promise to try to be gentler to newcomers in the future. I'll try, but it's SO tempting.

A while back, a newcomer posted a perfectly reasonable request for the whereabouts of an author. I jumped in with both feet, and it became a long running thread about the ridiculous adventures of a guy being held prisoner in a dungeon. It finally petered out after about a thousand reads, but it was fun.
