My upper shoulders have a itchy welts :(

I used this new lotion.. Triple Lanolin brand... w/ aloe vera gel and lanolin. Got it when I got really sunburned the other day.

and forgive me if I'm wrong.. but doesn't imidazolidnyl urea mean pee?

ew.

I'm not sure if it's due to the lotion or not, but could be.

i'm in an inquisitive mood today

also.. does anyone know what skin tags are caused from?

I'm extremely allergic to lanolin, you have to be careful with it too because it is in a lot of shaving creams/lotions.

Sounds like you blistered. You might try washing with a very mild soap, patting dry and applying white vinager with a cottonball. Once you burn nothing will help your skin, as you are finding out! If you peel, be very careful getting sun on the new skin for a month or two!:rose:

Just a little more......

"What is a skin tag?

A skin tag is a common, benign condition which consists of a bit of skin that projects from the surrounding skin and may appear attached to the skin. Skin tags can vary quite a bit in appearance. They may be smooth or irregular, flesh colored or more deeply pigmented, and either simply be raised above the surrounding skin or have a stalk (a peduncle) so that the skin tag hangs from the skin.

Where do skin tags occur?

Skin tags can occur almost anywhere there is skin. However, favorite areas for tags are the eyelids, neck, armpits (axillae), upper chest, and groin.

Who tends to get skin tags?

They are much more common with age beginning in middle age and they tend to be somewhat more prevalent in women than men."

Lanolin is wool grease. Are you allergic to wool? If so, you're allergic to lanolin.

Yes white vinegar is perfect for a burn, it takes the redness and heat out of it

The skin tags I have, have been multiplying across my chest area (not tits themselves) and neck, for the last year or more. They have the stalk with a bulbous head. They're itchy too. I just wanted to know what causes them. I know that I can tie a thread around them so that they fall off, or have them frozen off.

(Emerald Eyes.. no I didn't get your PM. :( send again?)

As far as the welts are concerned.. I know I'm not sunburned. I burned last Tuesday, and am now nicely- tho slightly- tanned. I never got any blisters. The welts just appeared here in the last few hours. I've also got red splotchies all over my chest and neck and it's itchy :(

I've been using the lanolin lotion for the last week and this is the first time this has happened.

so Fishie, it's a preservative for the lotion then? good investigating!

lickerish,

I am allergic to wool. I never wear sweaters because of that. I also have to be careful when purchasing coats. Because I have an allergy to wool, I am also allergic to lanolin. I always have to check the labels very carefully because if not, my body gets hives and they can become quite red and painful.
