Is Anal Overrated?

Here's a quote I read recently, from Christopher Hitchens:

"Four most overrated things: Picnics, lobster, champagne and anal sex!"
Do the resident HT denizens concur with Hitchens' assessment? Inquiring (and inexperienced, at least when it comes to lobster and anal) minds want to know.

The odd thing about his quote: it's not clear whether Hitchens is referring to the giving or receiving end of the equation.

Picnics - Awesome
Champagne - Awesome
Lobster - I don't eat seafood
Anal - Its fun, but I save it for "special occasions"

Well, I LOVE picnics and anal sex.

Champagne, I'm not real into though it's good with fried artichoke hearts or in a mimosa.

I don't eat lobster but my kids and husband love it so it must be good.

The thing about anal sex is that not done properly it can hurt, tear and/or be only so so. Done right, it can be incredible. Research should be done and care taken to prepare the anus for this type of sex. An anus is not a vagina. Sometimes people get in a hurry or are just uneducated so they don't know that. Stories that don't include lube other than natural girl juices, or opening the anus slowly and patiently before fucking it, tend to lead the uneducated astray about that too.

Fury :rose:

mm.

I am passionately fond of seafood, but lobster doesn't do it for me.
I can't afford champagne that is any good.
Piknics are fun, but in my opinion, people tend to overplan them.. spontaneous is best.

Anal sex.. well I think if you aren't doing it right, the effect is somewhere between horrific and unpleasant.

If everything is set up right (you have enough lube.. you are not going for too much too soon ect.) Then I think it can be good. It can be really good I understand. But it also mught just be kinda so/so. It is however deffinately sorta intense. So I can see how your personal preferences would make a big difference.

Anal sex is one of my most favorites.I have never known it be be overrated.

Anal Sex is Good if you go about it the right way,it is not disgusting or smelly, and if it is done right the orgasm is mind blowing, though a tear anally can cause perotinitis which can cause death. but who doesnt do stuff on a daily basis that might jeapordize their life? iIsay 2 each his own. What's nasty to one may not be to another. Its painful if not relaxed. As someone else said you must have trust . Its not for everyone and Iam one that thinks that you dont do everything sexually with everyone. AllIcan say is each person is different on what pleases them sexually. So you either try for yourself or you dont. Noone else can tell you how it will feel for you!

I'm a backdoor man!

It's all good. Champagne I can do without.

Picnics are wonderful.
Lobster is good but sweet.
Champagne gives me a headache.
Anal, with enough time, patience, and lube, is mind blowing

Picnics w/ one's daughter, and eventually, grandchildren (especially if said grandchild turns out to be a grand daughter) provide such cherished memories that if I knew that death was upon me, I'd likely reflect on those remembrances.

Lobster: I don't hate it but I'm not wild about it either.

champagne: I don't drink. So, I have no use for it.

Anal: From my perspective as a pitcher, it does nothing for me. I greatly prefer the vag.

Appy's perfect Sunday afternoon...seriously...

A picnic with her beau....under a weeping willow tree beside a riverbank, a basket full of fresh rye sandwiches and a platter of Lobster...freshly caught, steamed and dipped in homemade lemon/garlic mayonnaise? (who needs blowjobs?) with a glass of crisp, bubbling Dom Perignon ($20 supermarket sparkling white wine...is NOT champagne)...followed by a hard, dirty, head against tree stump bumping, knees grass staining session, of hard wet pounding ass fucking...

ahhh such is the refined life. :D lmfao

it's all about knowing how to appreciate those things...and personally, i like them thick and curved :D ;)
