Is adultery really that much fun?

I've been happily married for almost 18 years and have literally never touched another woman. (Okay, a few hugs and pecks on the cheek.) I also don't doubt that if a woman made a play for me and was obvious about it, I would succumb. Is adultery worth it? Is the experience of a new lover as great as I imagine? Or do you feel yourself stepping outside of your body, looking at the two of you and remarking, "Gee whiz, you're really doing it"?

Some of my male married friends have stepped outside of their marriage and have had a sexual relationship with another woman.

They told me it was different & exciting to be with another women other then their wife. One of them does it every time he goes out of business & he enjoys his "trips" very much.

But of course every man is different & every one will experience some thing different.

One of my girl friend's has been having affairs for some time now , her husband has not or chooses not to notice ... but the way she talks about them ... she seems to enjoy the sex so very much.

But to each his own .....

Adultry is not a good thing to do, Lying to your spouse and family and more importantly lying to yourself is not good. If someone is that unhappy in a relationship,I highly reccomend that you discuss the situation with your partner. From personel experience.....Adultry destroyed my family and Im the one primarily to blame. I still feel the guilt 10 years after the fact for the hurt I caused my children.

The sex at first was HOT. Younger woman nice body etc. But after the first time or two it wasnt fun. The lying/secrecy gets to you after awhile. But whats even worse is being confronted by your spouse.............

Of Course it is fun - it is the aftermath and the consequences that are pretty shit.

No-one is immune to sexual chemistry - and it is how you deal with it that matters.

Some men and women are serial adulters - some have one major incident - Amongst my married contemparies - almost all have had some sort of affair ( including the women ) some it is a very short and sweet sexual experience - others it is a more long term thing with a work colleague.

But shit if 1 in 2 marriages fail with adultery being the chief cause - and we know the pain / turmoil it will bring- we still as a whole - do it

the concept sounds like a blast but just like getting drunk, the event itself might be fun, its the aftermath thats the bummer.

for the record, after getting way to close to commiting adultry in 1995, I found it to be more of an out of body experience and thinking, "damn she is hot, but why is she so eager to fuck another womans husband?"
