I'm a little skecpitcal about these types of sites. You can get some strange people on here.

So if you reply then maybe we canfind out more about each other.

Irish in America

dammit, I'm too far away *pouts*
I'm Irish, though the family has been in the US for some time now I've always dreamed about dating a sexy Irish lad, you guys have some of the sexiest accents imaginable.
Maybe someday I'll venture over there ;)

just want to give a hello to all the Irish people out here! And ask your opinion on Roy Keane....should he have retired from Int. Competition? (If you don't know who I'm talking about, just move along...)

Alright there. Good question. Alot of people in Ireland had some heated debates of mr keane.
Firstly Ireland will not be the same without him.
But, and there is always a but, he plays for one of the worlds biggest football teams, Man Utd.
Alan Shearer did it at Newcastle and now look at him.
Denis irwn did it. Both of their careers extended beyond what they and everyone else thought unimaginable

So yes I do think he was correct

By the way for the record I'm a Liverpool supporter.
I've been to loads of matches and I hate Man U.
But for keane the decision was correct.
Although I get a knot in my stomach when I think of Liverpool having to face Keane at a time in his careere when he could really stack his claim as one of the best midfielder ever to grace a football pitch.

I hope this makes my argument clearer

Keane keane keane!

True, but do you think that anyone will be able to take over immediatly at midfield for Ireland? I think that it is a good decision on his part to not play int. anymore, but Ireland needs a solid middy.

Oh and by the way, I hope Ronaldo eats shit and dies a horrible slow death from Syphillus, SARS and Ghonoria! He can just fucking die right now! UGH!!!!! (as you can tell, I'm a Man U supporter....)

Firstly you are correct. nobody can take over right now from keane. john o'shea is looking like a prospect for the future

go on real. ahahaha get out:p :D

Time to rant.....

Fuck Real Madrid, Fuck Ronaldo, Fuck Raul (even if he didn't play), Fuck Figo, Fuck Zidane, Fuck Roberto Carlos, Fuck Guti, Fuck Hierro, Fuck Casillas...ugh...ok....i'm done!

Keane

Just like to comment on the roy keane issue. everything he said about Mick Mccarthy and the FAI is true. They are a shams of an organisation and only recently have they tried to change things around (any irish fans remember jack charltons harry ramdsens challenge?!!) . Hopefully Roy Keanes comments will inspire a more professionel attitude towards soccer at international and atdomestic level too.
But my attituted towards Roy Keane is that ive lost all respect for him and I would never want to see him wear an Ireland jersey again!!
Things went wrong in Japan because of the FAI and Mick Mccarthy had his ridiculous meeting with the players. Keane blew a fuse but he should have been more professional and waited to after the world cup to sya what he wanted to say if he really wanted to play for ireland.
He then promised that he would play for ireland again and had planned to fly out to scotland to meet the players when the played there 2 months ago. he even talked to brian kerr about this. then at the last moment he changed his mind again. if he knew he wasnt gona play for ireland again he should have stuck to his original decision and not have raised irish fans hopes.
im sorry , i know this is a personals board but i just wanted to get that off my chest.

no worries mate...s'cool! But yea, maybe now Ireland can move on toward the next world cup in 2006 (In Germany no less.....oh boy....hometown advantage to them!) But hey, don't count the US out yet, have any of you heard about this young kid Freddy Adu (born in Ghana, now is an american). The kid's only 13 and freaking amazing....better than Pele some have said....but anyway..I digress as well, this is a personal board...I shall stop my fanting on Football....hmm...maybe i'll start a thread on Football.

I really was going to reply to this thread...but after all of this football talk. *shivers*

I am in the US anyway....

Oh and the strange people are what make this place so much fun:D

Welcome to Lit:rose:

HI dmcl22,

Just a wee line from up North in Ulster, welcome to the boards, not many people from this island north or south so its nice to see you.

This board seems to have strayed a bit.

Although as a guy I do like talking about soccer I set this up to find a chat with other irish and uk people. And maybe to get to know someone online.

The people who come into Lit have no presconcesptions bout the other people who come in here. They are open minded and let people voice their opinions.

Some of the people in the "real world" would not talk about the things that are discussed here.
So I'm looking to talk about my interests with like minded people who live near me.
Id it doesn't go any further there is always that feeling that it might

Speak to ya'll soon
