Heres one from Omni Magazine. I changed the formatting a bit...the original question involved Anubis, Seth, and the Eye of Ra or something like that...but the answer is still the same.:

A man, who has been searching for a fabled treasure for 10 years, finds himself in a tomb deep below the earth. Standing at the entrance of the toom, he can see the Jewled Crown of (insert mystic land here) gleaming brightly in the darkness. Quickly, he rushes to obtain his prize, but upon entering the room, he sees a slight problem that would keep him from his prize. The Crown is perched on an Altar...120 feet above ground level, in the center of a pit which is 7000 feet deep and filled at the bottom with man eating scorpions and spiders, who's mere touch can paralyze you. The pit has a radius of 700 feet...jumping across is not an option. Disenheartened...the man goes to leave when he comes across a crate with a sign. The sign says, "You can get it if you use your head...Eidos Interactive Ltd"(^_^). Upon opening the crate, the man finds the following items.

3: Two poles 10 feet tall
4: A chicken skull
5: A coupon good for one free 2800 ft long rope from Lara Croft's Tomb Radin' Bargain House
6: A coupon good for one free complete set of climbing supplies from LCTRBH

8: Plans for Leonardo Davinci's first helicopter, complete with parts

Now...how is the man going to get this treasure.

PS: Assume that the man is broke...so if he leaves the tomb to go to the Bargain house...he can only get what the coupons allow him to...jetpacks, flamethrowers, and drop dead gorgeous brunettes are NOT an option. Also...assume all items are weightless...so girth or weight WONT be a problem.

Heres some hints to help out:

1: Assume that the man can drive anything into the ground...and once driven...it will stay there.

2: The store where he needs to get his supplies is just down the road.

3: The walls ALWAYS drip rainwater

4: The distance from the center of the altar to the edge of the pit is 700 feet. The distance from the center of the altar to any given point on the surrounding wall is 710 feet.

5: The man can walk on the altar...its 12 X 12 feet; the Crown is atop a pole that extends 120 feet up...the Crown wil automatically come down if he can get across.
