At the risk of being labelled 'fluffy' and 'inconsequential', yes its yet another test.

This takes longer, you actually have to think about your answers, but I found it interesting to do. Quite stimulating. The outcome was quite a surprise, to me at least.

I went further into the site, and did the 'the right job for you'. Interesting outcome, but it wouldn't tell me which is the right job for me.....until I forked out $15 !!!!

It did tell me though, that I'm 'Creative-Analytical'

Unfortunately, I know which ones I got wrong - lol - anything I lingered over, particularly the 6 mile/8 mile drive, which I could only determine to be 14, and whether or not a god damn cherry belonged with a peach.

Wow, I don't believe I'm coming across this website yet again. I actually have account on there, and I've done around 50 of the quizzes (during a quiz-mania era from around two years ago). The IQ test is different now though from what it used to be. I think it was timed before.

Anyway, I got 140

eta: I lingered for a while on the 6/8 drive thing too. Then I just imagined it and used pythag. I was trying to work out 12sq and 16sq in my head when I realised it would be a lot easier to do 6sq and 8sq then just multiply by two.

I'm considering to retake some of the tests I did, to see if I get different things now.

Y'know, there's an 'are you a sex goddess' test too.

Didn't mean to be flippant with the first answer, but had my Engineering hat on (but also a common building contractor trick and an easy way to make a right angle).

If you remember high school geometry and the Pythagorean theory

a**2 + b**2 = c**2 (a squared plus b squared = c squared)

a triangle with sides of 3, 4 and 5 fits the formula

In the IQ test, the drivers drove six miles in opposite directions, then both made left turns (again they are travelling in opposite directions). So you've got the 6 (2x3) and 8 (2x4) legs of the triangle. The hypotenuse of each triangle is 10. There are two triangles, 10+10=20.

Re: Apricots and Peaches....I sat there SURE that it had something to do with fuzzy/smooth skins. COULDN'T remember what skins apricots had. Till I recalled that there were some in the kitchen and I could go check. Smart pants maybe, head.....not so much sometimes ,

That's Pythagorean theory in action. Also, a bit of memory. When you're working on the length of a hypotenuse and the legs of your right triangle are multiples of 3 and 4...then the hypotenuse is the same multiple of 5.

so, since they drove 6 and 8 miles...they end up 10 miles away from start, or 20 miles away from each other....

(Sorry, I started as a math ed major and still managed to get a minor in math after switching to theatre arts.<g>)
