Already got to much going on on the Iphone with the games and apps. Not sure about letting my number get that far out in the internet world.

I think I'd stick with MSN or Yahoo for chat. It's always worked for me and is much safer than a phone based messenger system. A random public email address is no comparison to a mobile phone number.
