iPhone Pictures

Sometimes I take screenshots and want to upload it but tells me every time it is too big. Any suggestions how to work this out using the iPhone only?

If I need to tweak an image on iPhone I use an app called Art Studio. For example I just tested this:

Screen shot - original size in camera roll 11MB

Import into art studio. No changes just export it back out as JPG 1.2MB

Resized down by 50%, exported jpg, now 489KB

Generally speaking, the newer the phone the larger the photo file size. You can cut it down when you take the pic but it may not be enough to post here. Don’t know what the size limit is. For iPhone try Settings/Camera/Format and select High Efficiency. For other phones I’m sure it’s something similar.

There are also third party apps you can use to reduce the file size of existing pics.

Something else I just noticed is that when I go to add a pic to a thread there is a size selector at the bottom of it. If file size for posting is your only tweak that might be a quick way to accomplish your goal.
