I was just wondering... what does the "IP: logged" thing at the bottom of each message mean? Could that be a potential security problem for me? Thanks in advance to anyone who knows and takes a sec to explain it me :)

Your computer has an address just like the site does. It's referred to as an IP. It's not a security problem because it's not available to anyone but the WebMistress.

The IP: Logged link at the bottom of every post is only accessible to someone with administrator status. It is not likely to be a security risk for you.

It is included in the basic BB software so that the board operator has a record of who made each post, or at least where the post was made from. It's primary purpose seems to be as a warning to potential posters of illegal things that they can be tracked. I can't think of any other reason to advertise that the IP is being logged. It could just as easily be logged without notification.

Oooh, okay. Thanks for the answers everyone! I guess I'll just have to try and behave myself, hmmm? ;)
